"Armie! Can you help Christie put her shoes on?"

I rush to throw things into my bag and I take a last look at my face. Thank goodness I woke up early to do my hair, or else I'd really get a scolding from Ronnie.

"Sure!"

"Chris we're going to be late again!"

He pops his head into our room, "Babe, we're not gonna be late. We're only ten minutes away from them and the kids are ready. It's fine honey."

Chris walks over and places a kiss on my head.

"We do this every year. And we were only late once, come on. Plus, just because others arrive before us, that does not mean we're late."

"Right, but still-"

"Take a deep breath, we're just hanging out with friends. There's no need to worry," he leans back and looks at me. "We're good, right?"

I take a deep breath and nod, "We're good."

I put on my best smile and walk out to find the kids all dressed and sitting on the couch watching Toy Story.

"Alright kiddos! TV off let's get going."

Armie turns off the TV and runs to the door followed by Bennett. Christie runs over to me and shows me her hair.

"Look mommy, daddy did my hair!"

She's got her pigtails in braids and she flashes a toothy grin. She just finished preschool this year and she's grown so much in such little time. And just like her name, she's just like her father. Brown locks and the most beautiful blue eyes ever.

Funny enough Armie also looks a lot like Chris, even though we named him after my dad. He also has Chris' beautiful brown hair and his big blue eyes, but his skin is just slightly more tanned. He's a beautiful kid really.

"Bennett do you need help getting in the car- Oh nope, you got it! Good job!" Bennett smiles as he buckles himself up in his booster seat. I double check he's strapped in right and then help Christie.

"You got-" I look over at Chris.

"I've got Dean," Chris replies reading my mind.

I laugh and go to the other side of the car to get into the passenger seat.

And sure enough we got there in just about ten minutes. But when we pull in we see Tom's car here already.

I give Chris a "I told you so" look and he chuckles and rolls his eyes. Nearly nine years together I'm starting to rub off on him.

I laugh and help the kids get down. I carry Dean on my hip and Chris holds Christie's hand as the boys walk ahead of us.

Bennett rings the door bell and Jenna comes running to the door. She swings the door open and waves.

"Hi!"

"Hi Jenna, where's mommy?"

"Mommy is finishing the cupcakes!"

"Okay, is it okay if we come in?"

"Oh yeah!" she laughs and opens the door a bit wider for us to step in.

The boys say hi and Christie runs off with Jenna to play in the backyard.

"Ronnie?"

"In here!" she yells from the kitchen.

Chris follows me into the kitchen and sets the diaper bag on the stool.

"Hey Ronnie."

"Hey guys," she turns around. She's all dressed up and sporting blue hair. "Make yourself comfy, Tom and Zawe are out back with Jax already."
