Like any other night, the bar was bustling with crowds, loud and cheerful. Hinata decided to stay close to Oikawa, not wanting to disperse away from the group. Iwaizumi and Tsukishima were yet to arrive which led them to wait for the two men outside the place.
"Ugh, Iwa-chan is taking too long!"
Hinata did agree with the older man. Generally, Iwaizumi was quite punctual and early to arrive. "Must have been stuck somewhere."
"Mhm, maybe." Oikawa mumbled, he smiled at the younger boy before turning to look in the direction Iwaizumi was supposedly arriving from, impatiently tapping his foot.
Hinata was about to console him when he caught a certain blonde, tall man approaching them. The appearance seemed to make his breath catch his throat and make his ears and cheeks crimson. He could literally feel a weird warm rush within him, positively melting him.
How was it possible for him to feel both hot and get literal chills in the same moment?
Even though he was overly hesitant to spend his time with both Atsumu and Tsukishima, he couldn't help but be a little excited to see Tsukishima. His heart skipped a beat, probably exhilaration, as he smiled sheepishly at Tsukishima, whose eyes he could feel on himself the whole time. "Hi."
Although Tsukishima didn't stop by him, he greeted him with a very tiny smirk and padded his way towards his best friend. It made the redhead hot all over the body.
"Fucking tone it done, maybe?" Hinata heard Oikawa grumble under his breath. "That man has been sending signals all over since the start, Shō-chan. Just make out already because it's disgusting to witness your mutual pining."
Hinata was left bewildered by his senior's bold statement. He shook his head vigorously, putting his hands in front of him to portray a cross sign. "You... you are seeing things." That was an obvious lie, but he didn't want people to talk about it.
"Yeah, exactly my point- I've been seeing them from the start."
"He just said hi!" The redhead whined softly, blushing brightly.
Oikawa let out a boisterous chortle, giving the boy a look of disbelief. "Alright. Then if you are not interested, make it clear already because we don't want another Atsumu."
Hinata's jaw dropped, trying to recoil from the intended attack. Oikawa really didn't bother to sugarcoat his words. "You're killing me!"
"Good, it was a deliberate blow. Ah, Iwa-chan's here!" The man mumbled happily, he patted the shorter boy's back and gave him a smile, quite pretentious. "Minx, are you?"
"Huh? Why are you being so cold towards me?"
"I seriously don't like that man, but I don't want another person with a broken heart. It is painful, so try to be transparent. I am not being cold, I'm being truthful, for your information." Oikawa retorted, passive aggressive towards the younger lad. He quickly regained his calm composure when Iwaizumi reached, profusely apologized to them.
