The sun has reached the horizon. Rays of sunlight streamed through your window and illuminated your dimly lit room. You groaned at the bright light and pulled the covers up to your head, but, you were already wake, so there was no use ignoring it now. You stood from your bed and gazed at a picture of you and Link.

Ah, Link. You yearned for his calming presence.

Memories flooded your mind. You sighed, it's already been 2 years since he left, and the first few months wasn't very good for you. You were empty and had thought that you had no meaning to feel emotions. To live. You still weren't over him leaving you, without proper reason. You steeled yourself and tried to rid of the overwhelming feeling. A few tears escaped your eyes and you couldn't help but let out a pained sound.

You composed yourself and headed for the table located across your room. Seated in it was a large mirror. You grabbed a comb and fixed your ruffled hair, fixing it into a plait. You changed into a (F/C) tunic.

You opened a drawer box and fished out a few rupees from it. You exited your house and headed for a nearby place where you could have some breakfast of sorts.

On your way, you thought of what happened in the past.

~Flashback~

You and Link sat on a swing hung on a tree. The place you both stayed in was tranquil and serene. It was where you both hung out, when you both had the chance. You both sat on your swings and gazed at the light blue sky.

Link cleared his throat. You snapped your head to his direction, and gave him a questioning look. He appeared to be hesitant and... Nervous? You encouraged him to talk.

"(Y/N)," He said in a quiet and dejected tone. "Please do not be angered of what I am about to say, but..." He trailed off. You stared at him curiously and noticed him fidgeting.

"I-I'm," he thought hard of the right words to say, not wanting to hurt your feelings. "L-leaving." He let out a pained sob as tears started to stream down his face.

"Oh, I-I understand." Though you didn't, you had nothing to do but to encourage him. "P-please don't leave, I'm nothing without y-you." You whispered enough for him only to hear.

You both stood from the swings and embraced each other, wetting each others clothes with tears, him resting his head at the crook of your neck. By the time you both weren't able to shed a tear, you were both staring at the sunset. You leaned your head on his shoulder and started to feel drowsy. You fell asleep at the place and he brought you back home. Without warning, he left for his journey without dropping a goodbye.

~End of flashback~

You realized you've arrived at a small restaurant, your face wet from tears. You wiped them off and set foot at the building. You picked a table on the corner and sat there, thinking about Link. You desperately yearned for his calming presence, but knowing he won't appear hurt.

You ordered a cup of tea and 2 loaves of bread. You sat there wondering if he ever did miss you and ever thought of you.

Your food soon arrived, you just stared at it blankly, not wanting to scarf it all down. But, since your stomach howled it's disapproval, you abruptly grabbed the bread, eating it, and drank your tea. You paid the waiter a bunch of rupees and exited the place.

You next headed for the library. You looked for an interesting book to read and soon found one. You sat at a chair and read the book silently.

'He apologized for his long disappearance and pulled her into a tight hug.'

You slammed the book shut. It reminded you very much of Link, much to your annoyance. You headed out of the library.

You headed next for the forest, since it was the only place you could calm and isolate yourself from other people. You sat under a large tree, on the grass. You closed your eyes and enjoyed the harmony of the place. You climbed the tree and sat on a thick branch, admiring the wonderful view of the place. You whirled you head around and saw two birds tweeting at each other, it was obvious that they were talking to each other. The other bird was green while the other was (F/C). It reminded you of Link and it hurt so much. You climbed down the tree.

You explored the forest furthermore and soon arrived at a familiar place. It had the same calming atmosphere that you and Link stayed in. You ventured the place more and you saw the swings that you and Link once sat in.

You headed for one of the swings and sat on one. You sighed. You still couldn't deny the fact that you missed Link so much and the way he made you feel warm. Although, you didn't understand the feeling though.

You pushed yourself up and down in order for your swing to move. You soon realized that tears had started to trickle down your face.

You quickly ran away from the place, arriving by a place with a pond seated at the middle.

You cried there causing ripples in the water. Somebody or something touched your back. You cautiously snapped your head towards the direction and saw no one. You sighed and thought that you were just imagining things. You were starting to talk to your reflection, asking if Link would ever come back to you.

"Maybe he will." A familiar voice spoke, you saw Link's reflection on the small pond. Link's reflection waved at you, as you awkwardly returned the gesture. You thought you were just hallucinating and focused on your reflection, when suddenly, two pairs of strong hands grabbed you by the waist.

You let out a surprised yelp and screamed for help, but no one could hear your cry for help.

"Shhh." The unknown guy tried to shush you, but you still thrashed around.

The guy rested his head at the crook of your neck, it was such a familiar feeling. He hugged you on the waist. He suddenly whirled you around with such force, and hugged you very tight, sobbing on your clothes. You saw a familiar shade of blond. You parted from the hug and immediately recognized the azure blue eyes and the blond hair.

"L-Link?"

He wiped away his tears and smiled at you.

"(Y/N)." He said sadly.

You ran to him and hugged him again. He lifted your chin up and kissed you on the lips. Your face turned a deep shade of red, as you stared incredulously at him, but soon you melted into the kiss. You both then parted to catch some air.

"I always have loved you (Y/N)." He stated confidently.

You lowered your head a bit, abashed by the fact that he confessed his love for you, as butterflies fluttered in your stomach. He lifted your chin up with his thumb and smirked at your cuteness. He placed a chaste kiss on your lips, which then turned you into a darker shade of red. He smirked once again.

He then sat you down on the grass, as you both stared at the sky burnished with a fiery shade of red. The dark sky had gradually taken over and stars had appeared.

You leaned on his shoulder, closing your eyes, and savoring the moment. You soon fell asleep on his shoulder. He smiled at your cuteness and carried you home. He stayed for the night and laid you carefully on the bed. He also laid down and pulled you closer, as you hugged him, thinking he was a pillow.
