"Link, I think it's time that you rest, its almost midnight."

Link met your gaze with sunken and tired eyes and carefully took off his eyeglasses to rub his eyes, then, released a tired sigh.

"You know I can't, honey. I have a deadline to meet." Link remarked with a hoarse voice and sagging shoulders.

"Take it easy, okay?" You gently massaged his shoulders "I know this is important, but so is your health. Y'know, if you don't rest well, you can't perform your best at work or worst, you might get sick."

"I promise I'll be fine, honey. Don't worry. Why don't you go to bed first, I'll follow you shortly, ok?" Link said, as he faced his laptop once again, to continue working on his lesson plan.

"Ok, but I'll go fetch you your vitamins first. I know you haven't taken them yet. I'll be right back." You said, as you dutifully left the room to get his vitamins.

Link lied. He knew for sure that he needed at least two more hours to finish his work and while his body was screaming for him to rest, he couldn't. His eyes felt dry and the screen was becoming too overwhelming and too bright to look at. He ruffled his hair in frustration and reviewed his previous work a bit, to see if there were any mistakes.

You returned to his office.

"Here, please take this." You said as you offered to him his vitamins.

"Thank you, honey." Link said, as he gulped down the pill and completely drank the water.

"I'll be going now, okay? Please don't take too long. Good night, honey, I love you." You said, as you placed a tender kiss on his left cheek and then went to the bedroom to take a rest.

Link then diligently continued his work albeit, sluggishly. It was already two in the morning when he finished. He let out a sleepy yawn, saving his work and turned off his laptop. He then stood from his seat to stretch his sore body.

'Finally done!' He thought.

Link took a quick bath and changed to clean clothes. He then quietly and sneakily laid down on the bed and slipped his hands on your waist.

You gently stirred, "I thought you'd never go to bed." You said groggily.

"I'd always go to bed, as long you are there." Link said fondly, kissing your nape. You quietly giggled and then turned to meet his gaze, "You're so cheesy. You should rest now, I know you are tired. Good night, Link." You snuggled to his chest and circled your arms around his waist, falling asleep to his rhythmic heartbeat.

"Good night, (Y/N), I love you."

It was morning and it was very bright. Link thought.

He was not even remotely in the mood to get up. His body felt incredibly heavy and tired. Link rolled over with a loud groan. He found that you were no longer in bed and relented to finally and also angrily stand up, notedly, in a bad mood.

He went to the bathroom and aggressively washed his face and then changed his clothes, briefly putting on perfume and deodorant and fixing his hair. He readied his things, shoving his laptop into his bag, compiling some folders and books and then crammed them all unto his bag.

Link went to the kitchen and found his meal on the table with, a sticky note beside it.

'Hi Link, I had to go to work early today because there was an emergency with one of the night staff. Anyways, I hope you at least rested well. Eat breakfast and gain some energy :) Don't forget to lock the house when you leave, love you <3
