Indirect Kiss

You still were in school, stuck in your room, forced to listen to the yammering of your teacher. You tapped your feet underneath your desk impatiently, while, staring at the clock and impatiently waiting for it to reach a certain time.

At last! The bell rung. You practically sprinted out of the classroom. Some people gave you weird stares, as you darted down the hallway. A while later, you arrived at the cafeteria and bought some of your favorite munchies.

You then headed for the rooftop. This is where you often went to isolate yourself from the noisy people.

You laid down on the roof and devoured your food silently. While, staring at the blue sky, you heard a sound from beside you and you quickly snapped your head to the direction.

"It's just actually you, Link." You let out a sigh in relief.

"What? Expected it to be someone else?" Link retorted. You shook your head in response. You both sat next to each other and fell into a silence, enjoying the breeze while, eating your lunches.

"Hey, (Y/N)?" You hummed in response to Link. "Would you like me to treat you to some ice cream?"

You jumped in joy at the idea.

"I would love to!" You squealed in a shrill voice. He gave you a grin and faced the firmament yet again. The bell rang, indicating the end of both of your breaks.

You headed for your next class and sat down. You propped your head with one hand and stared at your notes, acting as if you were reading something. You thought of the luscious taste of ice cream. Your mouth unconsciously started to water at the thought, drool pooling from the side of your mouth.

You heard a voice call out your name, snapping you out of your daze. You stood up and completely answered something random. Your classmates laughed at you, as your cheeks flared up. You desperately tried to shut them up with a diminishing glare, but it didn't work.

You sat down, shrinking to your seat. Soon, their laughters halted. You thoughts then drifted back to Link. You had been friends for three years now. It was when you moved to town, when met him. Other children avoided you, but, Link treated you normally. Girls hated you for being close to him, for he was the popular and handsome type, and you were quite well-acquainted with that fact.

Finally, class has ended. You swiftly exited out of the classroom. You went to Link's classroom and waited for him there. You were internally screaming inside, quite excited at the idea. Eventually, they were finally dismissed and you immediately caught his gaze.

Excitedly, you went up to ask Link to treat you to ice cream. He gave you a smile of confirmation and led you out of school.

You arrived at a small ice cream shop. You ordered and chose (favorite ice cream flavor) and then went to a table for two. He soon followed and came to the table. You noticed that he didn't buy his own.

"Hey, why'd you not buy your own?"

"I just don't want to." He simply answered.

"It's quite yummy, try some!" You brought close a spoonful of ice cream to Link's mouth. He pushed it back to you.

"No, I'm full." He said, gesturing to his stomach.

"Try some, please?~" You gave him a pout. He slowly reached for your ice cream and gave it a lick, his cheeks painted a faint pink. All je could think about was that it was an indirect kiss. He was hyper aware that it was an indirect kiss, but still, you remained clueless to that fact.

"I would go buy myself some, if you want my ice cream." You pointed at the cashier.

"No, no i's fine, take it." The ice cream now had his saliva. You pushed the ice cream back towards him and gave it to him.

You went to the counter and bought another one for your own, then, went back to the table. You soon both finished the ice cream. You noticed Link's pink cheeks, but, left him be. You both walked to the entrance, when Link suddenly stopped walking and pointed at your upper lip.

"Look! (Y/N), you have ice cream here on your lip." He stated, pointing a finger towards the area on your face.

"Here?" You asked, wiping the side of your lips.

"No, here." He pointed at your upper lip, adamantly.

"You mean here?" You queried, wiping your lower lip with the tip of your finger.

"No, here. Look, just let me do it." Link neared his face to yours. Your cheeks started to flare, at his sudden deed. He licked your upper lip and gave you an unexpected peck on the lips.

You stood motionless on your spot; eyes wide open as saucers. You blushed a crimson red, as you shyly met Link's gaze. But, all you saw was a mischievous, captivating smile, etched on his lips.
