Violet bombarded us with ideas to help Snowfield Elementary raise some money—which is good—just a bit time consuming but we're taking it everything one step at a time.

Between classes and football it's moving at a slow pace but getting done, regardless.

Some people suggested a car wash. Not that it's a bad idea but considering we're in Vermont, and it's winter... yeah, it was safe to say that most of us voted against it. Instead it's movie night and a bake sell.

Violet, was sweet enough to take on most of the organizing and with the help of Daisy, Leah and her right hand—Alice. And they've done a wonderful job so far. Miguel offered the house so they can work here and then he volunteered himself and the rest of us to help as well.

So our place has been full of people in and out this week, and since Alice has been over almost every day this week—can't say that I'm complaining. However she has also ignored me the whole week. Hell, she doesn't even look at me. Like I don't even exist.

Excuse me? I'm the one who's mad here.

I keep thinking that maybe it was a mistake to have gotten pissed and cut her off that way, though I end up with the same conclusion every time. Alice pretty much blamed me for her failed relationships and flat out said that our friendship was ruining her love life. All that time we spent being best friends and not her not caring what others thought of it or how they saw  us then out of nowhere it was too much for her and I was an issue in her life?

Maybe I'm being dramatic, or selfish? But all I know is how I felt in that moment. Hurt, heartbroken and like I was a bother to her life. And I don't ever want to feel that again.

Removing myself was the best option. Cause even at the end of it, if Alice is happy then I'm happy. Even if it means I can't be in her life anymore.

Thought it still fucking having her this close to me and not being able to say anything to her. It's torture really. Years of friendship now treating each other like strangers feels foreign—not natural.

My eyes involuntarily continue to look her way. But her gaze remains focused down on her project. Only occasionally she looks up to say something to the girls over even the guys.

All except me.

"Are you guys going to the charity event in Burlington next week?" Leah asks.

"We kind of have to." Noah answers. "Coach is one of the organizers for it and we wanna show him as much support."

A lot of the professors from Calvary and other schools gathered up together to organize a charity event to help sponsor the elementary school. It's the good thing about these small towns, so many people willing to help.

Both Burlington and Roanoke are small towns but slowly we keep getting things added to attract more people. Burlington's latest addition: a five star hotel The Orchid. In which they've booked to host this big charity event with a fancy theme.
