The woman wore a dark fitted blazer that wrapped around her towering figure.

You feel a sense of darkness cloud the hallway although she held a candle in front of her.

You stare as the little light source casts sinister shadows across her face.

Her brown eyes sparkle menacingly as she speaks.

"Welcome to Outpost 3." The sides of her mouth curl into a grin as she gestures for you to follow her.

"Ms Mead, you will not be needed." Venable says to the woman.

The worker answered with a swift nod and rotated around before walking in the other direction.

Wilhemina Venable strides ahead, her dress sweeping across the wooden floorboards.

"It's quite a marvel isn't it." She says as you admire the candles hung upon the wall and the seemingly never ending bookshelves.

You nod, unable to think of a witty comment to counter it.

"This place was once an exclusive school for boys but-"

You suddenly wretch, the nausea had come back.

"Excuse me." The woman says, noticing how you'd stopped and doubled over.

"I'm fine, I was just... admiring the immaculate floorboards."

You regret saying such a stupid thing but you had to make it believable or you were scared she'd think you were intoxicated and would chuck you out.

Venable raises an eyebrow so you continue.

"Yes, I can see it is raw oak wood from the late 1800s. Processed at the famous L.A. Carpenters."

You were currently lifting totally untrue facts from your head, you just had to seem confident and Venable wouldn't think anything of it.

"If you don't mind, I'd like to continue with the tour." She declares making you sigh in relief as she continues walking.

"That's good with me." You say gliding your fingers over the handrail of the stairs that you were now descending.

How deep did this place go?

"As I was saying, this was previously a school that had been converted to serve our needs by The Cooperative."

You feel nausea again but fight it off, you were used to it now.

"The money that you have provided ensures luxury long term treatment here in Outpost 3. However, since you have also been identified with strong genes, you will be one of our priority guests."

The woman leads you around another dimly lit corridor and to a wooden door which she pushes open.

You listen to the sound of the hinges creak before entering.

"This will be your room in the time you spend here." She explains, waiting in the frame as you explore the room.

It held a bed with luxury sheets and had a tall wardrobe at one side.

It also had an en-suite bathroom complete with a bath, shower, toilet and a couple "fancy" soaps.

They all were fake and you were grateful you'd asked your servants to pack you the best ones.

"So, young lady, the house rules are simple..."
