Friday, the day of the sports meet:

Jiang Yao didn't get up until 7:30. He quickly washed his face and rinsed his mouth, smoothed his bangs down, and put on his black-rimmed glasses.

Once again, he transformed into nothing more than an average, mediocre, unfashionable guy.

When closing his bedroom door, he happened to encounter his deskmate, calling out, "Morning, you just wake up too?"

"I forgot to get something, so I came back. Do you think everyone is like you?"

"......"

A new day, a new ruthlessness.

After he arrived in the classroom, Lao Wu gave a few announcements. Over the speakers, Zhang Jiaozhu told the students of each class to go to the sports field. First High's sports field didn't have any bleachers, so the students had to drag the chairs out of their classrooms and take them to the designated class positions on the sidelines of the field.

Class 1 was on the middle floor of the academic building, so there were classes above them and classes below them that still hadn't walked out. They were stuck at the head of the stairs for a long time, not able to move an inch.

Jiang Yao simply dropped his chair and sat down in it, "CheChe, sit with me, conserve your strength so we can try to get first place in the afternoon relay."

Yin Che ignored him completely.

Han Meng found the interactions between the two of them amusing. Plus, Yin Che took the initiative to talk to him last time, so his impression of the guy had changed a bit.

He boldly joined the conversation, "Jiang Yao, aren't you embarrassed? Not even the betas are sitting down."

"His legs will get sore after standing for a while, he knows I'm just looking after him."

Yin Che looked away in disdain, wishing he could go far away from this person and taking a step back. Suddenly, his knee bent after colliding with a hard object and he almost fell to his knee. In order to stabilize himself, he ended up in a half-kneel.

Jiang Yao raised his hand, "There's no need for such elaborate etiquette."

"......fuck off."

Yin Che turned his head and looked behind him. A tall, strong male student stood behind him holding a chair, very close to his back.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't being careful."

The tone of his words and the look on his face weren't the least bit apologetic.

Han Meng frowned, "Rong Wei, what's the meaning of this?"

"There's no meaning. I just said that it was an accident." Rong Wei said sharply, "I'll move a little further away, geez."

After saying that, he dragged his chair back to the back of his class.

When Jiang Yao heard the conversation between them, he finally realized, "You just got hit by him?"

Yin Che replied, "You really can react quickly."

"......"

Han Meng's furrowed brow still didn't ease, "He must have done that on purpose. He might come looking for trouble again."

Yin Che asked, "Who is he?"

This was the second time he'd been addressed, so Han Meng's mind was still a little shaken, but he was much calmer than the first time, so he didn't stammer when replying, "You don't know him? Rong Wei from Class 4, one of the Four Guardians. Most people would recognize him."
