✨Talia✨
I flinched at the sound of the bell, Chloe jumped up from my desk and squeezed my shoulder and whispered,
"I'll try and convince Tara not to say anything... see ya tonight!" She bounded out of the room while I slung my bag over my shoulder and wandered out the door. I saw Sam a few people down the hall, he was flirting with a few girls. Poor Sandy. I shipped those two so hard.
"Sam!" I yelled and ran over to him, he turned and smiled when he saw me, he waved the girls away who pouted at him and glared at me. Girls these days am I right?
"Hey you, haven't seen ya in a while." He said as he walked with me to the Therapy Room, I blushed and mumbled,
"Yeah, a lot of stuff on... so... you know how you warned me about staying away from Justin?" I asked nervously, Sam hummed a yes and I continued sheepishly,
"That might be a little problem... I'm his lab and session partner..." Sam stiffened and after a few minutes of awkward silence he said,
"I'll convince your teachers to change it." I raised my eyebrows and stopped walking. I placed a hand on my hip and cocked my head to the side and asked,
"Why is me being around him such a problem?" Sam's blue eyes narrowed at me and said sharply,
"He's bad news. He'll stuff up your-" He stopped talking and looked away from my eyes, I peered at him weirdly. I asked unsure about what had just happened,
"What were you about to say?" He shrugged and instead of answering said,
"He'll pull down your grades, that's why." I frowned and murmured,
"You sound like my mom." That's when it clicked. I looked up into his eyes and glared,
"Look me in the eyes and tell me that you haven't talked to my mom about this. Or talked to Ms. Tale who has talked to my mom." My voice was dripping with anger, Sam's cheeks tinged a pink as he mumbled,
"Ms. Tale told me how your parents are taking a break and how they don't want you to stress cos they were going to tell you sometime and don't want it to pull you back from your progress in your sessions." I widened my eyes and then closed them. I took a breath before opening them again, Sam looked embarrassed and worried. And he had a damn right to be.
"Thank you for telling me the truth, but please don't try and change my partners. I'm not going to make... progress if people bubble wrap me all the time. And when were you going to tell my my parents are taking a break? Like I already know but were you ever going to tell me?" I asked quietly, Sam paused for a moment before answering,
I wasn't going to tell you because I know it's a family matter... and how did you find out? Your parents weren't planning on telling you for at least 3 more weeks." Wow. Sam knows more about my parents than I do. Shows how much trust there is in the family.
"Justin told me. But whatever. I'm going to call them and talk to them about it anyway. And don't get angry at him about it, he feels shitty about it anyway." I heard the warning bell ring and quickly started walking again,
"See ya tomorrow at breakfast! I'll tell Sandy you have a session and will see her tonight!" Sam called after me and I nodded and waved at him from behind. I rushed through the crowd of people to the Therapy Room. I know my mom would have my throat on a hook if I didn't go to this session.
I slipped inside as quick as I could and looked around. Aliesha wasn't here and neither was anyone else so... I walked over to the desk to ring the bell but saw an interesting file on the desk. One word stood out to me like none other:
