Thinking He's Gone

Soon they woke up, and once Nightmare did he realized that he was sweaty and gross. It was probably because he was so nervous.
"Great...this is of course how I want to tell them, gross and disgusting..."
So after going to take a much needed shower, getting dressed, looking for the hoodie he forgot Blue had for the hundredth time and then remembering it wasn't there, and then lastly leaving his room to go and talk to his team.
Walking into the kitchen he saw everyone he needed to talk to. As perusal they were a little on edge to see him up so late and so grumpily appearing. So again, like perusal they started to leave knowing Nightmare enjoyed his alone time.
"W-Wait..."
Nightmare nervously stuttered, making his team stop in their tracks. Clearing his throat Nightmare repeated himself more clearly and less anxious.
"Wait..."
The team stopped and walked back into the room.
"Ya, what is it boss? There somethin' wrong?"
Killer first asked
"No...nothing wrong just difficult"
Nightmare took a deep breath
"I haven't been fully honest for a while now..."
"Are you coming out or something?"
Horror'a words got a few snickers, while Nightmare could only blush and shake his head.
"No- Well ya but you already knew that- Wait, no that's not the point or the conversation we're we're having right now!"
Nightmare realized he lost it again due to the abrupt silence, again he calmed himself.
"It's new still...even though it feels like I've been like this for a while... It'll probably make little sense as to why I'm so nervous once I tell you but...this'll probably help show why I've been so on edge lately..."
"Ok...go on..."
Cross said as gently as he could, Nightmare had to hold in a groan understanding that Cross was trying to be understanding. So with one last sigh and a large amount of doubt, Nightmare let the negativity slip away from his body so he could start to try and explain what happened...what little he knows at least.
Blue on the other hand was only wondering how Nightmare was doing. He knew it would be at least a little difficult for him, but Blue hoped that it at least went well.
But Blue wouldn't find out until he went back to sleep. So that night he went to sleep, opening his eyes he had entered another dream...but...it was different?
"That's odd... Nightmare normally doesn't change the setting with out asking... Maybe he has a surprise! Ya!"
Blue happily walked around this house that he randomly sleeped into? He didn't know what to call it, but nonetheless he was here and wanted to find Nightmare. He started looking, and looking...and...looking... Blue didn't know how many times he ended up circling around the house until he ended up waking up...
"Where...was he?.."
Blue sat up and looked around his room for a change, or if something new was around... But no...it's the same old room... Which was weird... He was sad...disappointed even...but he wasn't going to complain...it's not like he had anyone to complain to about this...
So Blue only sighed and got up, to get through his day.  He had fun hanging out with his friends like perusal, it was nice and of course Palette did something cute, he was always adorable in some way... Maybe Nightmare would've liked him if he ever got to meet him...
It wasn't like it mattered now though and the rest of the day went similar to the start...normal...
So Blue laid back down, went to sleep...and again, there was no one...
After a few days of Nightmare not showing up...Blue started to control his dreams again, feeling lonely and abandoned...hell maybe he even felt tricked and wouldn't admit... But the one thing he could admit was that he missed Nightmare, and when he started to imagine and actually think about what he wanted his dream to be... He was able to think of a dream version of Nightmare and for a little while he tried to make this Nightmare act the same as the real one... But that only lasted for so long until Blue started taking it further, and further... Until one day he had an idea, or more of a progression of what ended up happening over the span of time of him being alone. He wasn't sure if he should go as far as he was planning, but after pondering it for a while he made his decision.
"It's just a dream... So there's nothing wrong with it. I can always try something new like this, I'll probably even like it..."
Blue had to relax a little, this was very different for him, but like he said is was just a dream. He knew that and once he fell asleep he was going to think up the scenario he wanted, when he didn't. Because it was their spot, the one that Nightmare always made.
"Oh..."
He wasn't expecting this, of course he wasn't. And yes he was going to change the place he was in, but he didn't want to anymore. So with the scene already set, the only thing Blue had to do was-
"Blue?"
Blue looked over and saw Nightmare in his passive form, waving and already walking over.  Blue happy with how smooth this was going, continued what he wanted to happen.
"Hey Night~"
Nightmare stopped walking over, and looked a little confused.
"Hey..."
Blue walked over to him, and slid his arms around Nightmare's neck.
"Um...you feeling ok Blue?"
"A lot more than ok~ But you'd already know that~"
Nightmare's confused look lasted maybe another three seconds until it changed to one of surprise, a bright purple blush spreading across his face.
"O-Oh... I think I might know w-what's going on..."
"I knew it wouldn't take long~"
Blue pressed his body closer to Nightmare's
"Blue..."
Nightmare's hands almost trailed closers to Blue's body when he stopped.
"No- I'm not like that anymore... Blue, I'm not going to take advantage of you, you're probably just confused..."
"Why would I be confused? Trust me I really, really know what I want~"
Nightmare gulped, feeling one of Blue's hands slither to the back of Nightmare's head.
"Do you?~"
"I-I-"
"Don't be all stuttery, if you need help..."
Blue slid one of Nightmare's hands onto his waist.
"Then I'll  help you figure it out~"
"Blue, I'm not-"
Before Nightmare could finish Blue pulled him into a kiss. Nightmare blushed and silently panicked. After only a few seconds of this going on, Nightmare pulled Blue off of him, Blue slightly angry and confused.
"What the-"
"Blue I'm the real Nightmare- I'm not just part of this dream!"
Blue giggled and was going to say something, when he realized that the supposed dream recreation of Nightmare knew it was in a dream...
"Y-You're real...and I actually...but not really- but s-still!.."
Blue started to panic
"I- Oh my god!- I'm so sorry! I don't know-"
Nightmare pulled Blue into a hug
"Calm down... It's ok..."
"It's ok!?"
Blue didn't leave the hug but pulled his head up from Nightmare's chest.
"I just kissed you!- and if I didn't make it to obvious I was trying to do...a-a lot more than that..."
They both blushed, as Blue asked
"Where did you go?.."
"What did you do when I was gone?.."
"You...you probably don't want to know..."
Nightmare could hear how bad Blue felt, and feel how embarrassed he was. He wanted him to feel better, he wanted him to feel happy like he did when they...
"No Nightmare...you can't abuse his feelings... Unless that's not what you're doing... We clearly both want this..."
Nightmare thought, brushing his hand over Blue's cheek and cupped it gently.
"I may surprise you..."
"N-Nightmare... You don't have to do anything you don't want to..."
"Then there's nothing you have to worry about~"
Blue was going to say something else when he was pulled back into a kiss. Blue was kind of expecting it but it was still a surprise, and it was intense. Blue couldn't help but let out a few moans as he got pinned up against a tree. After a minute or two they parted and breathed, hard.
"So now that we know what I want do..."
Nightmare leaned over to the side of Blue's head and whispered-

"Nowhere...actually..."
"But why?.."
"I ran out of energy after a while of coming to see you, it took a lot of magic for me to do so normally. So after a while I needed a break...a lot longer one than I expected, but now I won't have to for another month maybe."
"Oh that's good..."
"You still sound sad, is there anything else?.."
"No..."
Blue looked up at Nightmare, and smiled
"I just missed you is all"
"I was only gone for a week"
"A week to long for me"
Blue rested his head on Nightmare's, and hummed happily.
"How nice..."
Nightmare gave Blue another kiss, making Blue squeak cutely.
"And how adorable~"
"Stop it!-"
Nightmare again planted a small kiss on Blue's lips.
"And cute~"
"That's the same thing!"
Blue continued to giggle and squeal between cute compliments and butterfly kisses. Until the butterfly kiss got more and more intense until they started making out again. They parted again and Blue smirked.
