I looked at Oscar and everyone looked confused
"Is something wrong?" Indigo asks
"Oscar...are you?" I begin as he nods
"Yes," he says in a much more mature tone then he usually has.
My heart drops as I lay my hand on my sword.
"But you shouldn't fear me," he says as I remain tense.
"What do you mean?" I ask
"I never was going to hurt you," Oscar says as everyone is super confused
"What's happening?" Indigo asks
"Oscar is Ozpin," I tell her as her expression drops...she looks at him
"No...that's wrong," Oscar says
"Oscar is a real person...as am I...I'm just a voice in his head at the moment...an alter ego you can call it," he says
What I'm saying is true
"But you died?" I ask him
"I suffer a similar fate to Salem," he begins
"When I die...my memories...or my existence are transferred to someone who is compatible...and then I live on," he explains
"So Oscar...is compatible?" I ask as he nods
"Yes...although our personalities are different at the moment," he says.
"And what if there's no one compatible when you die?" I ask as he smiles
"Well...them I travel back in time to a place where I can change things..." He says
"He is telling the truth," the future Carter says.
"Wait...so everything that has happened...was actually saving everyone?" I ask
"Yes. Getting you to Vale at a young age is very important. Your connection with Neo will be crucial in saving remnant," he says
"Ok...but why did you need to capture me and then threaten to kill me?" I ask
"To give you a push to realize that something big is coming...the affect of me telling you to get ready for something big are vastly smaller then you realizing it on your own, through my fake desperation," Ozpin tells me
"That, and your Brother from the future helps a lot too," Ozpin points out as Carter shrugs.
"So...your not evil?" I ask as he nods
"I don't believe so," he says
Hazel looked at Oscar with a murderous intent.
"Hazel...remember your resolve," Oscar says as Hazel makes a disgusted face.
Oscar looks worried...or Ozpin does.
"What?" I ask as he smiles
"Oh it's nothing..." He says looking at Indigo.
She looked betrayed...she avoids his gaze.
Hazel starts walking away
"We better start our walk," he says starting to move.
Indigo follows him and slowly everyone else does to.
I hang back with Oscar and to discus things.
"So everything you've done is to force me to look at the greater evil?" I ask him as he nods
"Yes...it was quite hard, your quite...unpredictable," he mutters
"Yeah?" I ask him as he nods
"I've had to restart about 10 times," he mutters
"Each and every time, you have been the centre of it all," he says.
"Great," I mutter as Neo looks back at me.
"Your passion for each other will be our savour," he says
"Huh?" I ask him
"What do you mean?"
"You will realize it...I don't know how...but you will know...I at least I hope you will this time.,"
"Great," I mutter.
We walked into the woods and I approached Hazel to see where we were happened
"Salem's main base. It's about a 3 day walk from here," he tells me.
"Why didn't we just take a bullhead?" I ask as he looks at me
"We need to go in as sneakily as possible,"
"Actually...if you take (Y/N) has a hostage to her would work perfect," Oscar says
Hazel rolls his eyes
"What's the beef between you two?" David asks
"I'd rather not talk about it," Hazel says
"What do you mean, taking me as a hostage?" I ask Ozpin
"It's simple...Salem can't be beaten...the best way to win...is to soften her heart," he says
Hazel laughs at this
"You seriously think that woman has a heart?" He asks Ozpin.
"She does...I know she does...it's just lost...and betrayed," he explains.
"Ok...so what do I do?" I ask Ozpin
"It's simple...you've gained the skills required from that last fight...you transferred Pain to Hazel...and you can share the feeling of Love with Salem...it's a stretch...but I'm running out of ideas," Ozpin says
"So...she doesn't feel love?" I ask confused as he shrugs
"She controls Grimm...creatures of hatred...I doubt she experiences much love anymore...not after what happened all those years ago...," he says.
Neo hugged my arm as she gives me a determined look.
"If anyone can do it...it's you,"
