Something popped into my head as I was driving closer and closer to where Nandini lived. Nandini and I were supposed to go on a date...And she hasn't grounded anymore,sooo I think it's time for the date she promised me.
NANDINI: "Hey where are you going?" she asked as I drove past her house
"Do you remember your promise?" I asked
NANDINI: "What promise?" she asked
NANDINI: "Manik, don't kidnap me like you did the other time" she warned
Oh yeah, totally forgot about that
"You, lady, promised me a date...So, now that you're not grounded anymore, you are going on a date with me" I grinned
NANDINI: "Manik no, not today,I'm tired," she said annoyed
"Too bad, you know how stubborn I am" I replied with a smirk
NANDINI: "Did I already tell you that I have never met a more annoying guy like you?"
"That, you said a few times. But you did forget to say that you have never met an awesome guy like me before" I smirked
She rolled her eyes at me and eventually looked out of the window
NANDINI: "Fine, where are we going?" she asked
"A nice restaurant," I said
NANDINI POV
I hate restaurants, I'm that kind of girl who just can not eat fancy. I'm a mess when I eat. And I also hate it to eat in public don't ask me why...
We arrived at the restaurant and it looked fancy, too fancy...
"Wait are we eating here?" I asked
MANIK: "Yes, too fancy for you cave girl?" he smirked
I smacked his upper arm again and walked into the restaurant
MANIK: "You're an aggressive girl," he said walking behind me
I rolled my eyes and followed the woman who offered us a table for 2. I can't believe that I'm actually on a date with a guy.
MANIK: "So, what are you eating?" he asked whilst we were looking at the menu's
I couldn't eat much, everything was with meat in it except the salad.
"The salad I guess, that's the only thing I can eat" I responded
MANIK: "Oh forgot to tell you that everything is 'halal' here," he said
"Wait seriously? This is not something to joke about" I asked
I was scared that after we ate he was going to say 'ha joke! It isn't halal here, so the beef tastes the same doesn't it?' I would kill him...
MANIK: "Just trust me okay," he said
I nodded and ordered some fancy chicken
MANIK: "That was good right?" he asked
"Yeah" I responded
MANIK: "I need to confess something," he said
"What?! Manik don't you dare play with something like this.."He's dead if he's going to say what I think he's going to say...
MANIK: "The meat isn't halal" he just said what?!
"Whaaatt?!" I shouted
Everybody was looking at us but I couldn't care less.
"You piece of.."
MANIK: "Chill, I'm joking"
"That isn't funny at all, jerk"
Speaking about a mood killer.
MANIK: "I'm sorry, okay!" he apologized
I rolled my eyes and continued eating
I hate this guy.....
We drove back home, it was pretty late already. I texted my mom earlier where I was and who I was with. She understood and let me go.
Manik stopped in front of my house and looked at me.
MANIK: "So there you go"
"Thanks for driving me home," I said and was about to get out of the care
MANIK: "Wait, that's it?" he said
"Yeah? Do you want a goodbye kiss or something?" I said sarcastically
MANIK: "Euhm Yeah," he said still making eye contact.
"Okay," I said
I'm not going to let him kiss me obviously, but I can always tease him back
MANIK: "Wait, are you sure?" he asked
I nodded and leaned closer
Our lips were about to touch until I backed away
I'll see you tomorrow", I said winking at him and getting out of the car and entering the house.
MANIK POV
She's going to let me kiss her?Really?If this is some kind of joke, she'll regret it. I leaned in closer and was about to finally kiss the girl I really liked.
"I'll see you tomorrow," she said and got out of the car. Is she serious?
I watched her enter her house as I was still thinking about what she had just did.
Oh, she isn't the only one that can play like that. Let's see how fast I can turn it on. I smiled at the thought and drove off
