Chapter 47

"General?" He knelt beside me and checked my pulse. "Kix, what's wrong?" The captain looked to his medic with fear in his eyes, thinking this was all his fault.

"She held off blaster fire in the field" Kix stated calmly. "Did you know she could do that?"

"No" Rex shook his head slightly, eyes settled on me.

"She'll be fine, probably just tired herself out" Kix explained to his Captain who had already been through so much within this one mission.

"We are going to need her if we are going to stop Krell" Rex spoke with determination in his tone. "Lyra, hey. I need you to wake up for me" He gently shook my shoulder.

"Rex? What happened?" I blinked my eyes open and readjusted to the dark fog of Umbara.

"You stopped blaster fire and tired yourself out" he gave a small smile.

"How long was I out?" I worried, trying to stand to my feet, but struggling.

"Only a few minutes" Rex offered his hand and pulled me to my feet where he let me use him to stand straight. "You gonna be alright? Because we are going to need your help"

"Yeah, I'll be alright" I gave him a nod of confirmation. Rex called the others who remained to gather around us for the plan.

"We all know who's responsible for what happened out there. What we don't know, is why. Something has to be done. What I'm proposing is highly treasonous. If any man chooses to opt out, do it now." Rex informs his men as they all step forward. "From this point forward, we are entering uncharted territory." Rex warned them.

"From now on, you will only take orders from Captain Rex or I" I told them all sternly, still relying on Rex to stand. "My orders are, we arrest General Krell for treason against the Republic." The boys all agreed with sharp nods, this mission becoming personal to them. Rex and I lead his men into the base where we looked to the tower to see Krell watching us.

"I'll get fives and Jesse" Rex said, leaving me with Kix.

"I'll meet you up there" I nodded as we went separate ways. "Glad you boys could join us" I greeted Fives and Jesse as they walked over and joined us in the elevator.

"Honoured to serve under you" Fives told me with a salute. With a simple nod and point from Rex the troopers all filed into the room, surrounding the General as Rex and I entered last.

"General Krell, you are being relieved of duty." I stated.

"It's treason then." He turned to face us.

"Surrender, General." Rex aimed his blasters at the Jedi Master, threatening to take the shot.

"You're committing mutiny, Captain." Krell stepped up.

"Explain your actions!" Rex demanded as troopers moved behind Krell, cornering him in the Center of the room.

"My actions?" He asked as if he didn't know.

"For ordering your troops against one another." Rex answered for him.

"Oh, that. I'm surprised you were able to figure it out, for a clone."

"Surrender, General. You're outnumbered!" I warned as the men grew closer to him. He suddenly used the force to push them all back into the wall, knocking them down.

"You dare to attack a Jedi?" He igntinged his sabers and the men started shooting as I too ignited my sabers. I ran forward and tried to land a few strikes, but all of them were blocked as he used the force to push me back into a wall. "I will not be undermined by creatures bred in some laboratory!" He claimed to Rex before jumping out of the window with a crash of shattered glass falling to the floor.
