New Beginnings

Act 2 ch 5

"How are the eggs?" Rory asks her sister as they sit at Luke's.

"Good" she answers. "I'm glad" Rory replies.

"They're still good" Victoria says as Rory stares at her eating. "I'm still glad" Rory says. "Look freak you will not be late" Lorelai tells her.

"It's the first day of school, I want to get there early" Rory says.

"We will be there early I promise" Victoria promises. "We have different classes this year, our routes aren't the same. I haven't found the quickest path around and my locker they moved it so I don't even know if it'll work properly and then I'll have to get a new one and god knows how long that'll take or where it'll be and that can send the whole day into chaos" Rory overthinks.

"I'm just excited" she says seeing the looks her mother and sister are giving her. "Oh thank god you haven't left yet" Lane says walking in. "Nope, what's up?" Victoria asks.

"Well I found the greatest record store in the world, it's ten minutes from your school and I'm wondering how much you love me" Lane answers.

"Address" Rory says. "Recordbreaker incorporated, 2453 Berlin Turnpike" Lane tells her.

"Got it, place your order now" Rory says writing everything down. "Charles Mingus The Black Saint and The Sinner Lady, The Sonic's Here Are The Sonic's" Lane starts listing. "Burn me a copy?" Victoria asks.

"Of course, MC5 Kick Out The Jams, Fairport Convention Liege and Lief, Bee Gees Odessa" Lane keeps listing.

"Bee Gees really?" Rory asks. "Mojo says" Lane tells her.

"So it must be true" Victoria replies. "Now if I could just find a copy of Whistler, Chaucer, Detroit, and Greenhill and I will finally be done with the 60s" Lane says. "I can get there today or tomorrow at the latest" Rory tells her.

"I love it when you go back to school" Lane says.

"Me too" Rory agrees.

Victoria struggles to get her locker open and when she finally does she pulled too hard and ended up falling back.

"Woah, careful" a voice says from behind her catching her before she falls. Victoria turns around to see Tristan standing there holding her waist.

"Hi" she smiles up at him. "Hi" he smiles back before leaning down and kissing her. "Victoria!" Summer says seeing Victoria from down the hall.

"Hey" Victoria says as Summer walks over to her.

"Hey, I missed you" Summer says hugging her. "What class do you have next?" Summer asks.

"Physics" Victoria answers. "Mr Hawryla?" Summer asks her. "Yeah" Victoria nods.

"Awesome, me too" Summer says grabbing her hand and pulling her along with her.

"Oh, okay. Steal my girlfriend that's fine I guess I'll just be alone then" Tristan says. "Bye Tristan" Summer yells back at him as she keeps walking.

"Hey" Lorelai says as her and Victoria walk into Luke's, Rory had to stay at school late since she's working on the school newspaper.

"Jeez" Luke gets scared and spills coffee. "Sorry" Lorelai apologizes.

"No it's fine, you want some coffee?" Luke offers. "It's okay I'll just lick it off the table" Victoria jokes. "So?" Lorelai asks following Luke to the counter.

"So what?" he asks.

"Is he here?" Lorelai asks him. "He's here" Luke answers.

"Yeah? How is he?" Lorelai asks. "He's fine" Luke tells her. "Did he see the bed?" Victoria asks him.
