I put my forehead to Henry's, "How did this happen?" I asked looking over to Pietro, a smile formed on his face.

"I should be the one to explain" I heard a voice come from behind me, I turned and saw my father. I took a hand and got fire in it, ready to throw it when dad made the wrong move, "Hope let me explain please" he said, putting his hand up in defense.

"You have two minutes" I said, dropping the fire ball and putting back under Henry to support him more.

"I never wanted to lock you up, but when you went against me and Ross it got out of hand, things were said and I regret every single word that I said, or every action I did to hurt you and this family" he said, tears starting to form in both of our eyes. "After I saw what being locked up was doing to everyone I had to get you all free, after Ross had his heart attack and passed away unfortunately Fury worked out a deal with the government getting everybody free, seeing that Ross was working for his own purpose and not the interest of the people" dad said, finishing off his sentence.

I put Henry down, and ran into my fathers arms, I may be forgiving and give people a lot of chances, but I do know when someone truly means what they say, and what my dad just said is the truth, and I will always stand by him, even if he doesn't stand by me.

"Dad I'm sorry but it happened" I said, tears falling down my face, staining his shirt with my tears.

"Hey its not your fault, its mine" he said, pulling me out off of his shoulder, making me look him in his eyes, "Now somebody else wants to see you at home" he said, grabbing my hand.

I looked back, Pietro had both kids in his hands and walking out behind us. We got in a new car, it had that new car smell to it, we drove for a few hours before pulling up to the compound. I got out and walked in, mom was pacing back and forth in the entry way.

"Mom" I said, catching her attention, her lip was raw, I could tell she was chewing on it. It bleeding and trying to heal, but she won't let it, reopening the wound over and over again, once our eyes met I ran up to her and hugged her tightly, bringing her into my arms. I could feel her sobs ripping through her body already.

Tears falling down both of our faces, the mother I once a few months ago hated with my entire life was now back in my arms. Tears falling down both of our faces, mixing together in a bond that can never be broken.

"You're here" I said, pulling away and looking into her eyes.

"I would never miss this" she said, trying to sniffle her tears away.

"Mom I forgive you" I said, breaking the silence, the silence that was over taking the room, causing the silence to be deafening.

"I can't forgive myself for what I did to you and this family, to our family" she said, turning her attention away from me. I grabbed her face and made her look into my eyes.

"If I can, you can forgive yourself, I am home now and we will try our hardest to fix what has been broken and get back to what we normally had" I said, blinking away the tears in my own eyes.

"Okay I'll try" she said, a small smile starting to form on her face.

"Thank you" I said, kissing her cheek. I looked back at my family smiles on their faces and love in sight again.

After settling back into what you could consider a normal life, everything was starting to get back onto the right track. After getting the X-Men back to their universe, it was a handful, but we got it done with a little help from Stark Tech, they made it home.

It took some time to get used to be backing home and not thinking how I fought my family a year ago, but to think about how much fun we do together and have a good time together.

-Thirty years later-

Watching everyone grow up and old was amazing, getting to be able to live and fight by my family's side was an amazing life, but after a while you have to settle down.

Once Pietro and I retired from the Avengers, we moved up state, to a little farm in the middle of no where, we kinda got the idea from Clint and his family. We have a porch swing that over looks a big, blue wonderous lake. Nothing for miles, but trees and nature, in the fall it is beautiful.

Different colored leaves litter the ground, mixing together in a beautiful arrange of colors. Getting to watch my kids grow up was something at one point in my life, I thought I would never get to do, but I did end up getting to raise them.

Now I'm watching my grandbabies grow up, they come up to our house every weekend, and splash around in the lake. Being soaked from head to toe in the lake water, or their cloths being soaked in the white fluffy snow when it falls.

No matter what happens in the rest of my life, I would say I have accomplished as much as I could and got what I worked my hardest for. Telling my story over and over again to my little grandbabies, they are always fascinated in how my life started and what their parents were like as children.

No matter how annoying the kids can get, I will never be tired of them, they will always bring laughter into my life and will always bring a smile onto my face when they arrive at the house. The amounts I have told my endless amount of stories, or the amount of smiled and laughs I have caused the little kids to have will always be the highlight to my life.

Life will always bring you something new, or throw something in the way of your happiness, but if you work through your issue life will always give you a reward, and mine is my family. I have always been grateful for my family and what has happened in my life and I wouldn't have it any other way.
