Rachel sat down and looked at Dick, Eleanor and Kory, who were all quite nervous to be telling her what they had just recently found out from Dr Adamson.

'I managed to get information out of Dr Adamson... He says your birth mother is still alive,' Dick said to Rachel, surprising everyone about how quickly he dropped the news on her. No sugar coating it or anything.

'He what?' Rachel asked quietly as Gar leaned forward in his seat.

'He claims they've been holding her prisoner,' Eleanor softly said, giving Rachel an apologetic look. She felt incredibly guilty for having to tell her what they knew. 'But he may be lying.'

Kory nodded and walked around the couch to sit next to Dick as she said, 'He also says your mother's name is Angela Asura. They're holding her at some asylum. Apparently, he and his people are dead set on keeping you two apart.' Gar questioned why, to which Kory replied with, 'Some blabber about Rachel's father and his sublime mission, I don't know. Sounds like your mother isn't a fan.'

Rachel looked down at her hands. 

'My mums alive... I could meet my mum.' She looked to the three adults with hope before rising to her feet. 'We have to go, now.'

'Even if he is telling the truth, this could be a trap. At best we would be marching into an enemy stronghold, you've seen what these people can do. No one's going anywhere until we take some time to recon,' Dick said and leant his elbows on his knees.

'What if they move her, they know we have him...'

Rachel was cut off by Dick raising his voice ever so slightly. 

'I'm not risking all of our lives on his word,' he told her sternly. Unfortunately, Eleanor agreed with him, because as much as she wanted to help Rachel, they had just faced far too much danger and barely gotten out without any major injuries. It's a death trap. 'I'm sorry,' Dick said, much quieter.

She looked at Kory and said, 'Tell him he's wrong.'

She shook her head and sighed. 

'I wish I could, you know how I hate to agree with him,' Kory muttered and ran her hands along her thighs. 'But I...'

'All you ever talk about is finding out who you are... You think we should go right, Gar?' Rachel asked, not breaking eye contact with Kory. She finally looked at him in confusion. 'Gar?'

He apologised quietly, causing Eleanor to sigh and look down. She was gonna be the one Rachel blew at when she also told her what she thought. She looked at Eleanor but the older woman refused to look up, even though she could feel Rachel's intense stare on her.

'Eleanor?' Rachel asked, her voice breaking.

She raised her head with a small frown, not wanting to tell her what she really thought of the situation.

'I think taking time to consider the possibility of danger is the best approach,' said Eleanor. 'I know how much you're worried about your mother...' She was cut off by Rachel scoffing.

'You know nothing. You couldn't possibly know what it's like. You don't even have a mother to worry about!' She seethed before crossing her arms and storming out of the living room.
