"So I heard you went home." Stefan interrupted the awkward silence. "Yes , i decided i shouldn't be living at Care's forever." Cassie replied. "It was fine I guess." Then she decided she had enough of that. "So your brother." Cassie decided to bring him up. "Damon?" Stefan was confused on why she brought him up"In unless you have another brother you don't talk about . " Cassie said. " Oh no of course not. Anyway, you were saying." He spoke quickly wanting to know what she had to say about his brother."Well I don't know if Elena told you but C -" Cassie was cut off by Elena calling the both of them into the kitchen. "Well looks like dinner's ready. " Cassie rose up from the couch quickly and left the room . Stefan got up a lot slower and strolled into the kitchen. "Dinner is served." Bonnie told us.

The dinner table was silent. The only noise you heard was the sound of knives and forks scraping on the plates. Bonnie was glaring at Stefan , Stefan was trying his best not to look uncomfortable, Elena was trying to think of what to say next and Cassie was staring at her lap also attempting to think of what to say.

"Bonnie did I tell you about how Stefan caught the ball to-" Elena finally thought  of something to say but was already cut off by Bonnie snapping, "You already  told me." 'Damn.' Cassie thought looking at Bonnie.

At this point everyone was finished so it was completely silent. Elena was disappointed since this evening was about trying to get Bonnie to approve of Stefan but that clearly wasn't working.

"So I visited my house today." Cassie finally said something. "Really, how was it?" Elena was happy that someone else attempted to make conversation. "Creepy, bland, weird." Cassie answered. "It was weird . The cops took everything from their bedroom. They said it was an animal attack but why would they treat it like a crime scene if it was just an animal attack. I'm definitely not using their room. It's too weird." She told them all. "I mean, that makes sense. " Elena shrugged.

Cassie jumped when she heard the doorbells loud ring. "Oh my goodness." She held her hand up to her heart. "Who comes this late?" Elena wondered getting up along with Stefan .

Bonnie and Cassie stayed sitting at the table. "Hey, did Stefan do something to you? You sound like you don't like him." Cassie whispered concerned. Bonnie let out a loud sigh before telling Her. "The other night at the bonfire i shook his hand and i saw something weird. " Cassie furrowed her eyebrows," Weird, what kind of weird?" She asked. "I saw death." Bonnie explained. "Death? That doesn't make sense. Did you drink that night?" Cassie asked wondering if it was just Bonnie's mind playing tricks on her." No , not at that point." Cassie wasn't sure what to say. "Grams said most of our family was psychic. I think I might be too." Bonnie made sure to be quiet. "You're a witch. That's so cool." She whisper-shouted.

They both heard voices in the hall get louder and they heard a lot more people than just Elena and Stefan talking. Two new voices. A male and female. Both were very familiar to Cassie though, especially the girls voice.

"Caroline?" Cassie said confused. "Hey." She smiled. "Hey ." She greeted back.

'she has a pretty smile.' Cassie couldn't help but think.

Cassie couldn't help but smile back. Her smile dropped when she saw Damon come behind her. "Hello Cassandra,Bonie. We brought dessert. " He smirked. Cassie saw Stefan behind him with an unhappy look on his face and Elena didn't look happy or sad."Super." She plastered a fake smile on her face.

Damon gave off a weird vibe. Plus what age was he agai?

Caroline had a scarf on. Cassie thought this was odd as she remembered Caroline saying that scarf wasn't her style. Maybe she heard her wrong. Damon still had that disgusting smirk in his face that Cassie had already managed to dislike strongly.

"How about we get the dessert ready and we can go into the living room.' Damon suggested. "That sounds perfect, let's go." Caroline answered before anyone else could object. "Yippee." Cassie said under her breath.

A/N- this is kinda short and boring but Cassie might have another love interest soon.
