It was a typical day at Sparkling Cookie's Juice Bar. The cookies walked in and out mingling and enjoying fresh beverages. It was a day as any, however it wouldn't be complete without the bar's regulars. As always, in came Mint Choco and Vampire Cookie. Sparkling greeted them as they  occupied their seats, the ones they took everyday.

Vampire and Mint Choco ordered their usuals and Sparkling quickly took to their orders. Like clock work, in came Herb Cookie, another regular at the bar. Unlike the other two, he didn't drink as often, he more or less came to enjoy the company of his friends. The four of them chatted as they always did. The group was iconic, the entire kingdom was familiar with the close bond the four of them had. Though it wasn't always like this.

Sparkling Cookie couldn't help but occasionally look back on the first time he'd served Vampire Cookie, the first of the group he had met. It was a late night, the bar was empty and Sparkling had started preparing himself drinks out of boredom. That was, until a cookie walked through the doors. Sparkling watched as he slumped into a seat, hands covering his face, and mumbled.

"Pardon?" Sparkling asked, unsure if he had even said anything. Vampire Cookie rubbed his face and turned to Sparkling. "Sorry, uhm, Wine. Please."

Sparkling poured a glass and slid it to Vamp. Vampire starred at the glass for a second, hesitating almost, but ultimately drinking the entire glass. Sparkling observed the cookie before him, his hair was a mess and it was clear he'd been crying. Sparkling could tell Vampire had a lot on his mind. He hated to be intrusive but on a quiet night like then he had nothing better to do.

"Rough Night?" He asked. Vampire gave a weak laugh and shook his head, "You could say that."

"Do you want to talk about it?

Vampire faced Sparkling, thinking for a moment and then sighing. Vampire recalled all the events that had transpired before his visit to the bar that night as he downed glasses upon glasses of wine. At closing time, Sparkling ushered Vampire outside the building as he closed. Vamp prepared to head home until Sparkling stopped him.

"Come again if you ever want to try new drinks! I'm always making new ones." He gave a smile to the cookie and walked off.

Since then, the cookie had visited the bar close to everyday, quickly becoming a regular and while Sparkling appreciated his friend's loyalty to his business. He still couldn't help but feel bad for the cookie. He'd become a regular to cope with what had transpired that night.

All those years ago.
