Misa entered the room and sat down.
"You've managed to find me. You were careless. What if the police caught you? Then what? They'd know everything about Kira! " Light got angry.
"It's alright because the police didn't catch me, and if I do what you say from now on, then they won't be able to." Misa said confidently, believing in Lights' skill.
"..You need someone to see L's name, right? If you want, I could be your eyes. " Misa added
"So..." Misa started shyly.
"So what?" Light inquired impatiently.
"Could you please make me your girlfriend!!" Misa confessed her intentions.
"Girlfriend?" Light was shocked.
"Yes," Misa said, nodding.
"Impossible! On the day in Aoyama, there were security cameras everywhere! If you and I were seen together, then it wouldn't look very good. Even being here together right now is a bad idea." Light scolded
"These photos are from the day of Aoyama." Misa presented Light with a photo of her disguise from that day in Aoyama.
"If you really still can't trust me, here, I'll let you hold onto my death note... Only hold onto it, I can still have my shinigami eyes. " Misa concluded.
"Now there's no way I could become a burden for you, now I can't kill you." Misa said, desperately trying to get Light's approval.
"There could be papers you took out for all I know," Light said suspiciously.
"Why are you so suspicious of me? I already told you, I'll help you, even if all you do is use me!" Misa yelled.
Misa looked up at Light. She didn't direct her anger at Light but at the girl he heard his sister mention, N/n
"Is this because of N/n!" Misa yelled out.
Misa didn't notice how Light's gaze got a few shades darker, he was angered by her tone, the tone she used to say your name.
"How do you know about N/n?" Light asked.
"So it is!? Your sister mentioned something about you cheating...!" Misa said angrily
"Why exactly are you doing this?" Light asked curiously, trying to divert the subject. He would definitely figure out a way to kill the girl in front of him.
Misa's mood had a 180 degree turn.
"My parents were murdered exactly 2 years ago during a robbery. The court case got dragged out, and people started siding with him... but then.. Kira punished him! Kira means everything to me." Misa finished her story.
"...All I wanted was a chance to meet you one day.. for a chance to thank you," Misa said, staring at the floor.
Lights thoughts:
She has the shinigami eyes. She will definitely be useful... but what would N/n think? No, after I use this girl's eyes, I can get rid of her and have N/n by my side.
Light hid his intentions and begrudgingly got up in front of Misa and hugged her. As Light had his arms around Misa, Misa gasped and began to tear up.
"I understand.. I can't be your boyfriend, but I can act like it," Light said, sounding sad. Using his A+ acting
"...The length you went to meet me, to be of help to me with those eyes of yours, you will become my weapon." Light told Misa
"Thank you so much! I'll try my best to make you love me! " Misa said, not being able to contain her happiness, still hugging Light.
Light had a wicked smirk that he managed to hide from the eyes of Rem and Misa.
"So you'll just pretend.I guess that's a good start. Can you show me your shinigami?" Misa inquired curiously.
"Can you turn around?" Light said, unsure if he would regret keeping Misa by his side.
"Alright!" Misa agreed with no hesitation.
He got a piece of paper from the Death Note and touched her shoulder with the paper.
"Hey there, how's it going?" Ryuk greeted Misa with a toothy grin.
"Wow, look at that! You're a completely different shinigami from Rem. I already know your name is Ryuk. Nice to meet you." Misa greeted the shinigami
"Same here," Ryuk responded.
"So we're girlfriend and boyfriend now, aren't we?" Misa asked with excitement.
Light had already thought this through. He weighed out the use of Misa and the happiness you would give him.
He came to a conclusion, he would use Misa for the time being. He was hoping you wouldn't mind, but deep down he wanted you to fight for his love with Misa.
"I guess," Light told Misa.
"Then go on a date with me once a week." Misa demanded
"No" Light flatly rejected her.
"But why!" Misa whined
"Looks like I have to spell this out for you... L already suspects I'm Kira. To make sure our meeting doesn't stand out, I need to be seen with other girls. " Light explained his plan to Misa
"You're seriously going to date other girls?" Misa looked at Light, feeling betrayed.
"I don't want you to!" Misa added
"Why not?" Light asked, clearly annoyed.
"If I see you with another girl, I'll kill her." Misa told Light, which made Light pause.
Lights thoughts:
Does this mean N/n would be in danger? I know Ryuk couldn't see her name, but will this girl be able to?
