"Aha.. surprise!" You exclaim at Mello and Matt, who are still in shock.
L looked at the three of you in surprise. L took a better look at the both of them and noticed Mello's burnt face.
"You two have grown," L said while looking at the both of them and taking a sip of tea.
"Y/n, what the hell is going on?! This is... this is a sick joke" Mello said angrily, seemingly holding back tears.
As expected, he's going into defense mode first.
L sighed, looking at the three of you with a tired look.
"Y/n, you should explain the situation to them. Fully." L said.
"Really? They won't really believe it, but okay.." you look back over at Mello and Matt,
"As you can see, L is very much alive. Let me explain the situation after you calm down," you tell Mello, attempting to calm him.
Matt was a lot calmer than his friend, Mello. Matt seemed to be waiting for an explanation. He was definitely more composed.
"This-this has to be a joke.. it's been confirmed by the orphanage.. that he's already dead." Mello was speaking before you threw Mello at L and L swiftly dodged.
"Hey!" Mello exclaimed in shock.
"You can confirm if he's alive or not," you explain softly.
You tell Matt, "You should go over there too. I'm sure you're also curious about whether I'm telling you the truth. "
Matt scurried over to L in order to confirm what you said.
"Is it you? Are you L?" Mello asked, straightening up.
L wasn't exactly sure how to respond to that, so he looked over to you so you could explain the situation.
"I guess this would be the best time to explain. Please get comfortable. I plan on ruining your perception of life, "you tell Mello and Matt with a smile.
Although confused, they comply and get ready to listen to your explanation.
((A long one sided explanation later..))
"You can't just expect us to believe that? The fact that we live in a fictional world!" Mello yelled out.
Matt seemed to be deep in thought. He wasn't against the possibility that the world he lived in was fake. He was just shocked.
"You've seen a literal god of death and a notebook that can kill people by writing down names.. how is this anywhere near impossible?" You question
"Well, that's.. that's different!" Mello argued
"I believe you," Matt suddenly spoke up.
"You?" Mello looks over at Matt before Matt explains
"She has a point; we already saw a shinigami. This isn't too farfetched.. besides, L looks fine and he behaves like he did before. "
"Fine, if you really do know everything, who is Kira?" Mello asked.
You thought about what you should do.
Mello is different from L. If Mello finds out Light is Kira, he will probably act on his feelings, not his head.
"Shouldn't you try to solve Kira's identity with the same information Near has? You wouldn't want an unfair advantage? I'm sure you both have an idea already. " You explain, aiming for Mellos' pride to block out trying to get more information.
