𝗟 𝗨 𝗟 𝗔

It's been roughly two hours since Renzo left my room. Two hours since he threatened my parents and two hours since he gave me an ultimatum that he knows I'll have no choice but to agree to.

He knew all that information about my parents. Their address, their place of work. How? Who the hell is he?

Why is he doing this to me?

My parents have probably filed a god damn missing persons report for me by now. Especially since I cut the call off with my mom in the way I did. She'll want to know what happened and if I'm okay.

I'm going to have to contact them sooner or later, otherwise my face will be printed on milk cartons and plastered on every television screen in the country.

Sitting on the end of the bed, I open the small notepad and flick through the various notes I've made so far.

Renzo is the leader of the organisation. Maybe some sort of cult or perhaps a gang? He has men working for him.
• They carry guns
• Italian maybe?
• Has guard dogs
• People call Renzo 'boss'
• Matteo is his sidekick?

Possible exits:
1. The main door
2. Bathroom window (very small)
3. Sliding doors in the kitchen
4. Bedroom window tried but it has an alarm

Elio is a new face. Seems more reserved than everyone else but still intimidating.

Sofia is Renzo's sister. He also has another sibling called Leandro.

No parents??

With a small sigh, I close the pad and place it back underneath the pillow. I will find a way out of this place, no matter what it takes.

If it means I have to agree to his stupid proposition and play along for a while until I figure something out, then that's what I'll do. Sofia's words repeat in my mind, 'my advice would be to just do what he says and don't piss him off. It would be much easier for you that way.'

If I do as he says, he won't hurt me.. right?

Shaking the dark thoughts out of my head, I leave the bedroom and head back downstairs, feeling hungry. I keep my head down as I pass numerous men along the way, even holding my breath until they've passed, then releasing it once I know I'm safe.

Well, as safe as I can possibly be right now.

As I make my way down the stairs, I notice three men standing in the foyer. I don't recognise any of them but the one in the middle has a striking resemblance to Renzo.

Perhaps this is his brother, Leandro? I remember Sofia saying that he was due to come back tonight.

All three men look in my direction but I remain silent, not making eye contact with any of them in the hopes they won't say anything and just let me pass.

They speak to each other in another language, one of them snickering which instantly makes me feel uncomfortable. Even though I don't know what they're saying, it's clear that they're talking about me just from their tone.
