Evening calmly had come, the orange shining in The Skies from over these parts of The Jungles and all else among The Wilds, and Mowgli just did not wish to talk to anyone as of at these points. Because otherwise they would just continue to positively encourage him to prepare himself for The Running that was to come upon tomorrow. As Mowgli was walking slowly back through these areas had he caught a rabbit and he decided to eat it - after killing it first, of course, and he found it a delicious taste of meat for fortunate certain.

Afterwards he climbed up a tree to sit atop one of its highest height from among its branches, watching from there as the evening had passed into the nighttime, and soon The Skies began their descent into the darkness of The Nighttime, watching as The Sun's great light was setting itself half-way ever upon the very greenery before him, its light warmly touching his skin, and indeed hearing birds singing out their songs was something of a comfort for Mowgli especially during these points in his life, as they were all flying above him as he was watching it all pass on ever by him. He reminisced for a while to his first encounter with the tiger he ran into yesterday and all the hot fear that he was feeling from it all. For the first time ever in his life, he had all but indeed felt truly deeply incredibly very quite afraid. Mowgli found it hard to remember even a single past moment in his life prior to that encounter. Of Course, he endured lots of dangerous situations from before this encounter he had with this vicious tiger, yet this tiger himself was like some kind of new danger unlike absolutely anything that he had ever ever so encountered before - as far as levels of danger ever before had went in his life at the least. Truly Mowgli even now could alone just feel the great levels of furious hatred, wrath, rage and ever quite indeed so persistent determination from Shere Khan's eyes as they had managed to burn right through his own eyes. The persistent determination and desperation the tiger had indeed just so happened to even breathe out through his mouth as he had ever clearer incredibly clearly wanted to have slammed all of his sharp white teeth right into the young boy's flesh.

Soon The Sun's Light had altogether faded and The Nighttime had begun, its darkness painting all The Skies above all that lived under them. Mowgli simply continued to watch the fall of the light as the darkness of The Nighttime came along, up until one moment when all of a sudden had his ears caught a snapped twig like sound from below. He swung his head to look down and he saw a rather very scruffy looking creature rushing through, ever into the underbrushes.

Immediately Mowgli had narrowed his eyes, for although he had heard about such creatures from before, this was the first time he had ever seen such ones here. This one in particular seemed to be a bit like a wild dog albeit with stripes about its body and with just a little bit more hair upon its body than usual, and by far quite a lot rather messier than most the boy had seen especially among The Wolves that had raised him. This was no golden jackal like what he had heard of, and neither was it a red dog or a dhole like what he also had heard of from before this exact occurring moment. This was a hyena, specifically a stripped hyena - Mowgli heard of those from Baloo, Bagheera and his wolf parents - very especially his mother - and he heard of the spotted ones from tails he had heard from Baloo and Bagheera too - and from what he had heard, they were known for various things in regards to personality which was that like dholes and jackals some were good and others not quite so good, yet this one was rather odd and suspicious just from the mere sight of him as looked upon by the young boy. This hyena, like all its ilk, was smaller than a wolf, yet was just a little bit rather bigger than jackals or dholes yet also like hyenas was almost at the height of jackals and dholes each and all alike. Furthermore Hyenas, as Baloo and Bagheera told the young boy, were known for their seeming-to-be-uncontrollable and yet very unusually distinct laughter-like sounds like those of all out of - according to what they told him - the laughter of all The Race Of Man were also known for. Slowly Mowgli had then followed this very ugly looking creature, very gently walking from one branch to another, his brown eyes having never left the sight of this creature he now followed, and he could hear very noisy flies and quite annoying ones at that as they were flying by this very mangy scavenging dog's side.
