"you want me, to sleep, with you? like the way a couple would after marriage?" the young man rants on, squeezing her fingers as she leads him forwards. "you're, you're okay with that? with sleeping in the same bed with me?"

she takes his hands, leading him into her chambers. her room is littered, scattered all over with hundreds of books lining the walls, the secluded room of the castle filled with the smell of lavender that covers her skin, the windowsill open to let in a cold winter breeze through the spacious room. he breathes out softly as she draws the covers to the bed back, letting him sit down. she moves herself to stand in front of him, hesitantly reaching out to stand by him, eyes trying to understand him in this moment.

"i've read hundreds of books to understand how a lover should act. i think i could give it a shot, for you."

"you want to try with me? to be, a lover to me?" the males voice is breathless, weak as he tries to wrap his head around how his love is finally acting with him, he looks up at her, pleading. "you're going to try with me?"

"yes, with you."

she looks down at him as she stands, moving to lift off part of his armor. she slips her fingers beneath the metal, the pieces of his armor coming off bit by bit, allowing her to see his actual figure. her hands linger across his skin for longer than usual, as she mindlessly traces out the shape of his shoulders and collarbone, almost in a trance, as if she's seeing him without her armor for the first time. the males eyes are glued to her own, unable to tear himself away from her.

"only if that is what you wish from me."

the knight is stunned, as she lifst off his armour.  his body was muscular and toned from years of training and fighting. the young male covered in scars from past battle wounds, the female stands before him, placing the metal down beside the doorway. he lets his hands slowly circle her waist for balance, gently whispering out.

"no ones ever said anything about my scars, are they ugly?"

her eyes burn up at the words, her fingertips tracing all over the wounds and scars that line his tan skin. she takes a step closer to him beside the bed, her gown fluttering as her fingertips trace over the old cuts, her eyes slowly following suit along his flesh and figure. she shakes her head, mumbling beneath her breath.she stares at him in pure fascination, taking in everything about him for the first time since their wedding night. her lips purse shut for a moment, her eyes filling with admiration as she moves her head up to peer at him.

"no," she whispers, "not in a million years, not in a billion years, not even in a quadrillion years, could i ever think your scars are ugly."

kaeya leans his head forward to touch his forehead against hers, clearly showing that he's not used to this type of affection, he's not used to being shown anything without having to earn it. he whispers once more in response to her words,

"you don't think my body ugly? the scars aren't repulsive?"

her lips purse at his words, and her hands move along his own and to the strings that hold her gown together. she turns so that her back is facing him, the lace along her nightgown shown to him along her back. her words slip from her lips almost mindlessly, lines from pages of novels she's read mixed in with her own emotions tumbling off of her tongue.
