          Jim was shouting at Anthea upstairs while the three teens sat in the kitchen, Effy sat at the table in between her two best friends. Arabella's hand was rested on Effy's thigh, gently running her thumb over her skin. 

Effy was holding in tears and Arabella felt horrible that she couldn't do anything about it. The brunette flinching as a suitcase dropped on the floor. Pandora grabbing her hand as Jim left the house

"they fuck you up" Effy's voice cracked

"they dont mean too eff" Pandora told her, Arabella knew it wouldn't help though since she was told that every time she was crying about her parents. She knew it wouldn't help because it wasnt true, not in Arabella's case but Effy's was different. Maybe they didn't mean it but parents still fuck people up.

"but they do" Effy replied, suddenly jumping up and running out the door. Arabella was quick to run after the girl while Pandora answered her phone. The two trailing after Effy all the way down to the docks, a lit cigarette in her mouth. The three perching on the concrete 

"do you think your mum and funny beard have been, you know, making monkey" Pandora asked, Arabella sending the blonde a warning glance.

"yes Pandora, they've been making monkey" Effy stated. Arabella kind of just blanked the rest of the conversation out, she didn't mean to but she couldn't help to drift off into her own space of mind. She thought about everything, her friends, her parents, James, college, her feelings.

Arabella was finally coming to an understanding with her feelings, specifically towards a certain brunette boy she had befriended in September. The girl was never one for relationships, she hated them and anything like it. That's why her and cook had sex and only sex, she hated feeling close to someone in a romantic way.

Arabella blamed her parents lack of affection towards each other, growing up arguing was all she knew. Her parents where always arguing with each other or not talking at all. She thought that's how all relationships ended up.

She watched Tony and Michelle get together and break up thousands of times

And now Anthea and Jim, two people she thought would be forever in love, where arguing becuase one of them cheated on the other which was also a reoccurring theme with Arabella's parents.

She liked James, she knew that for sure but she didn't want to accept that in fear of turning out like every other relationship she knew.

"Arabella!" Pandora tapped the girls shoulder for the fifth time "you zoned out, were going to get hot chocolate!"

"sorry" Arabella whispered, getting up and walking with the two girls. as soon as they started walking, Katie's loud voice started shouting at the three.

"hey! ive been ringing you two loads. you know Danny, he plays for the Bristol rover reserves, yeah?" Katie stood in front of the three with her boyfriend

"yes, nice ones, tasty" Danny pulled down his sunglasses and his eyes flicked between Arabella and Effy. Arabella rolling her eyes at the mans pervy behaviour

"these are my new best friends, Effy and Arabella" Katie told her boyfriend making Arabella scoff

"cool tits yeah"  Arabella rolled her eyes and Effy looked the man up and down, an obvious look of uncomfort on her face

"sorry?"

"nice jugglies babe, perky" Danny said again

"Danny! he doesn't mean it, do you babes" Katie asked him

"fucking right i do" Danny told her

"lovely" Arabella scrunched her face up and turned around, deciding to leave now before she was even more tempted to hit the dude. She had been to Pandora's once before so she had a general idea of where it was. Her phone rang as she turned onto Pandora's street

"James" Arabella smiled as she held the phone to her ear, the realisation from earlier making her slightly giddy to talk to the boy

"Arabella" He chuckled, walking away from JJ to talk to the girl "you seem happy"

"im spending the night with my girls, of course im happy" Arabella lied, yes she was happy to spend the night with her closest friends 

"oh yeah? what's the plan" James questioned

"a little bit of kissing and a lot of sex James, what else would be happening at a sleepover" The girl joked, leaning on the wall of Pandora's neighbours house

"where's this sleepover happening then?" The boy smirked, slowly heading back over to JJ

"ill send you the address but come later and bring booze, panda's mum doesn't like that stuff in her house and if im spending a night with Katie Fitch i might fucking need it" Arabella laughed before hanging up since she saw the three girls heading down the road. She quickly texted James the address and put her phone back in her shorts.

"look Arabella's here" Pandora pointed as they got closer, running towards her house "Cool! mums done the signal, so everybody knows where my party is"

"how many people did you invite?" Katie asked

"um five. you, eff, Bella, Emily and Naomi" Pandora told the red head as Arabella stood beside Effy

"Naomi? why you invite her" Katie scoffed

"Em says i have to or she wont come" Pandora told the girl innocently, Arabella raised her eyebrows and smirked at that.

"awh sweet" Effy said sarcastically

"c'mon, we can do brownies and then lick our bowls out" Pandora said as she unlocked her door

"do you think she knows she sounds filthy half the time" Emily said, heading to the door behind Pandora

"James is dropping booze around later" Arabella told Effy quietly with a smile

"i cant believe it, Arabella actually has a crush on someone" Effy said, mainly to herself. She was surprised at the fact since she had witnessed the girl turn down so many boys in fear of getting hurt. Effy was proud of her best friend, little did they both know huh?

i want to apologise for the lack of updates recently, ive been going through a rough patch mentally and have had absolutely no motivation to do anything so writing was my last priority. Im feeling a bit better now so updates should be happening frequently.

please remember to take care of yourself and put yourself first.  dont care if you think someone is feeling worse than you, your health is more important. If you think its serious, please go to the doctors or talk to someone because i promise you it really does help, you dont even have to talk to them about your problem, just talk. I love you all <3
