My Love [James Cook]

⌞forty five⌝

          "i look like the fucking marshmallow thing from fucking ghostbusters" Arabella groaned as she put the coat over the tracksuit everyone had made her get changed into while they untied the boat "seriously why is this coat so fucking big!"

Arabella joined everyone outside as the boat turned on, the five watching as the four men who attempted to get Cook senior's boat in the race chased after them. Everyone was laughing and for a minute everything seemed back to normal, back to when Arabella didn't feel like she was in someone else's body all the time.

"its all right, you little fucks" Of course, the happiness is always short lived as Cook senior suddenly came out to where the teens all stood together

"Fuck you! Ill find you!" The bartender from the pub yelled making Cook senior laugh 

"Fuck you" The man called back "im cook, you shithead! im cook! Come here" The man pulled his son closer to him and Arabella observed the boy shes grown fond of. He looked uncomfortable being around his dad, a look so different from when the first arrived in the shitty town "im cook you fuckers! Cook!"

"nah, im cook" James shoved his dad off the back of the boat making Arabella smile, glad he could stand up to the man "Fuck you! Fuck you!" He then turned around and pulled Freddie into a hug. Arabella grinned and sat down next to Effy, leaning into the girls side

"were going home eff" Arabella whispered

"back to normal" Effy replied with a small smile directed towards her best friend

Arabella had managed to find a small radio in the piles of junk that sat in the boat so instead of chugging along in silence, they had the quiet voice of whatever song was playing on the radio. The sky was covered in clouds and looked about ready to rain but Arabella was at peace, something about the water and the people she was with in that moment made her calm.

That, plus the fact that James had brought beers out made everything seem sort of surreal. Arabella felt to calm considering the past few weeks they had, its was like a movie because in every cliché movie the main characters struggle then get their happy ending. Arabella was hoping this was their happy ending

The main character herself (even though she didn't know it) headed inside, in need of a few minutes to gather her thoughts about everything they had gone through. They where all seventeen, still kids whether they wanted to agree with that or not and they had gone through so much.

"Bella?" Freddie asked, taking a seat beside the girl

"Freddie" Arabella muttered back

"I got the video off Thomas and went to the police, i just thought id let you know" Freddie wrapped his arm around Arabella

"thank you" 

"they need you to come in when we get back just for a few questions and to make sure im not lying or whatever. Just tell them the truth yeah, ill be there for you the whole time?" 

"your the best freds" Arabella nodded and rested her head on the boys shoulder. They stayed like that for a while before heading back outside to the others, Arabella sitting in between Effy and Cook while Freddie sat on the end beside Cook

"so... what do we do now"

That's a wrap for season three, season four starts next chapter!! my bad if everything was everywhere these past few chapters, ive had writers block but hopefully they were to everyone's standards
