Chapter: 12

[HOSEOK'S POV]

I struggle to lift my head while opening my eyes to half. My body which was weak on the bed, I try to sit while holding my head until my eyes fall on someone sitting in front of me. All I could see was a blurry figure of a woman. I try to focus while frowning my eyebrows to look clearly.

As soon as I realize it was none other than y/n, my body leans backwards and gaze falls low.

She was just staring at me. Not uttering a single word.

I look at her again.

Hoseok: Why are you here?

I murmer.

Y/N: *raises eyebrow* What do you mean? I am your wif-

Hoseok: STOP TELLING ME THAT EVERYTIME.

I start panting as soon as I raise my voice. Closing my eyes for a second and breathing in air deeply, evening out my breath and then opening my eyes to look at her.

Her eyes were looking down, they were brown, while glistening white sparkles. The only difference was, that the joy she always had in her eyes, was missing.

My heart aches in guilt seeing her holding sobs in.

Hoseok: Y/n you don't need t-

Before I could finish my gentle words to comfort her, the sound of thunder catches my attention.

I look at the window, where I could only see black sky with grey clouds, screaming lighting.

It was only a few seconds before i started to hear raindrops.

I look at y/n. She was looking out the window too. Her face carried a sense of tiredness and disappointment.

Y/N: Hoseok-ah?

You speak out of a sudden. He was just looking at you.

Y/N: Ab-bout that n-night.

You say while turning your head towards him.

Y/N: When you...fell and-

Hoseok: I don't wanna talk about it.

You stare at him for a second and then continue.

Y/N: Why not? Is it because you lied?

You lean forward.

Hoseok: L-lied?

He whispers.

Y/N: Why? Didn't you? You were engaged...then why did you marry me.

His eyes widen up in shock.

Y/N: You already l-loved someone else.

The tears in your eyes start glistening even more.

Y/N: I r-really thought you cared about me.

You stutter between trying hard not to.

As soon as you realize you cannot hold your tears anymore, you cover your mouth with the palm of your hand.

Hoseok: I didn't lie.

He whispers.

Hoseok: I...I had to.

You pull your hand away and turn your teary eyes to him.

Hoseok: Y-you need to understand...I was s-scared.

He looks down.

Hoseok: I w-was...I was alone.

Y/N: B-but you would never-

Hoseok: Y/n...I need some rest.

He interrupts.

With that, he lays back down. Closing his eyes. He didn't want to talk about it anymore.

You were thinking deeply while staring at him with tears.

Getting up, giving him a last glance before coming out of the room.

Closing the door on your way out.

He opens his eyes hearing the door close.

Feeling cold, he snuggles deeper inside the blanket. A drop of tear escaping right after he closes his eyes once again.

His hands holding the sheets tightly, his heart was paining.

[TIME SKIP]

You were laying beside Yoongi. His hand was in your hairs, caressing you to sleep.

Your eyes open, staring at the ceiling.

He looks at you.

Feeling his gaze, you speak.

Y/N: What will I do now?

He thinks for a second and then speaks.

Yoongi: Find someone better.

You look at him in his eyes.

Y/N: Someone else?

He admires your face for a second then nods his head.

Y/N: But...how will I be happy? How will he be happy?

Yoongi: Do you still care about his happiness? After all that he did?

He gently cups your face.

Y/N: B-but I love him.

You speak with all your confidence and tears.

His eyes soften up seeing the pain in your words.

Yoongi: Who permitted you to love some jerk like that.

You lower your gaze.

Yoongi: I am sorry y/n...I was wrong. I shouldn't have made you marry that guy.

He gently wipes your cheek with his fingers and pulls you closer, taking you in his embrace.

You close your eyes tightly.

He does too. Giving you all his comfort.
