Finding a place quiet, somewhere outside in the foggy weather, Liz pressed her phone against her ear, listening to the rings as she watched the dark night sky. Multiple student walked around her to either go back inside to dance or walk out to smoke or get some air. After about four rings of the phone, the woman on the other side of the call finally picked up.
"Liz! What's wrong, are you having fun?"
Her aunt's voice interrupted the silence."Yeah yeah, I'm good I just uh, I wanted to know about the guy that showed up earlier?"
Liz told her nervously, scared that her aunt might suspect her on the situation with Fezco."Oh, yeah, he just stopped by, asked if you were around so I told him you were at a school dance."
"That's all?"
"Well yeah, he then told me to apologize to you, didn't say why tho. After that he left."
"Did he seem okay to you? Like he didn't have any scars or anything, right?"
"Well I don't really know Liz, I haven't seen him before. He did seem kind off stressed tho, but I'm not sure."
Marie explained with a shrug, chopping some onions in half as she was preparing yet another meal out of boredom."That doesn't sound like him."
Liz replied in a worried tone, she was mad at Fez before, but now she was just worried, and very confused."Well, maybe he just got nervous, meeting his girlfriend's aunt and all, things like that can be very exciting."
"Yeah that's probably not it."
Liz snorted, knowing Fez was not the type of person to get nervous in situations like that.
"And I'm not his girlfriend, Marie.""Too bad, he seems like a nice guy. You should invite him over for dinner sometime."
"Yeah no, that's not happening."
Liz said in horror.
"Anyways, I gotta go, I'll see you later.""Okay, say hi to Les for me, will you?"
Marie commented with a smirk that wasn't visible to her niece."It's Fez, and he's not even here."
Liz cut her off, rolling her eyes as she did so."Well, knowing you, you're about to go find him, so tell him I said hi."
Marie commented, quickly ending the call before Liz could reply, knowing the girl would most likely argue with her about how that wasn't true when she knew damn well that it was.Looking at her phone with a scoff, She held it tight between her hands as she looked at the parking lot in front of her. Taking a second to herself before she went back to the dance.
She needed some time to think over the situation. Fezco confused her, and she hated it.She was certain he didn't want anything to do with her anymore, considering he hadn't called or texted her in weeks. And now the one night she wasn't at home, he suddenly showed up at her doorstep, apologizing? She even checked her phone to see if he tried to get in contact with her, which riddled her even more.
So, once more, she tried to get in touch with him. She called him for what felt like the millionth time, just for it to turn to his voicemail which she could now remember word for word.
