35. I don't wanna lose her.

Aarav's POV

My whole world crashed.

My heart shattered into pieces.

My mind went numb.

I just froze to my spot.

I was staring at the stretcher not believing my eyes.

It was Rhea.

Suddenly everything around me felt unreal.

I felt heavy as I couldn't move towards her form.

I fell on my knees where I stood looking at Rhea.

There was a heavy downpour but I sat rooted in my place.

"Rhea!" A loud cry brought me out of my state and I looked in its direction.

It was Alina who was holding Rhea's hand crying loudly as she kneeled beside Rhea tapping on her cheek rapidly to wake her up.

But nothing worked.

She didn't wake up.

Blood oozed out of her head, hands and leg.

Alina again tried to wake her up.

But she laid still.

Not a moment.

"Is she your relative ma'am?" The cop inquired looking at Alina's state.

"Ye...Yes, she is my friend." Alina nodded vigorously answering the cop.

"We are taking her to the hospital. You can come and meet us there." The cop said and the nurses took Rhea inside the ambulance.

I just stared at the place Rhea was laid moments ago.

The Ambulance sped away after talking a minute to Alina and she nodded hastily wiping her tears.

I was a mere spectator.

"Aarav?" I heard a voice when I looked up it was Alina.

"When did you come?" She asked worriedly when she kneeled to my height.

Words clogged up in my throat as I swallowed hard.

"Okay, come let's go. She will be fine." Alina said in a troubled tone when she observed me not answering her.

Wordlessly I stood up and went to the car. Alina followed me closely behind as she brought some papers with her holding them tight. I didn't ask her about it.

I was about to sit in the driver's seat when she stopped me. I looked at her blankly not letting any of my emotions show on my face, she nodded a no and gestured me to sit in the passenger. Without a word, I strode the passenger.

Then Alina drove us to the hospital.

All the way I couldn't stop thinking about the memories I created with Rhea till this morning. The trip, today morning, the dance at the reunion, meeting in my company, the night she broke down completely when she couldn't save a patient, our shocking wedding, the first meeting where I saw her physical skills and bike skills, shopping and there were many like this.
