Rhea's POV

Aarav reclined, his eyes fixed on me, a faint smile playing on his lips.

Lately, I had noticed a different gleam in his eyes, ever since we had grown closer.

More accurately, since we had confessed our love for each other.

Returning his smile with equal delight, I couldn't help but let out a goofy chuckle. Aarav chuckled in response, shaking his head ever so slightly.

"Let's go back to the very first time we met. Our childhood," I suggested eagerly, practically bouncing in my seat.

"Why did you dislike me back then?" I teased him, wiggling my eyebrows playfully.

"I didn't dislike you!" He defended himself, his voice laced with innocence.

Narrowing my eyes, I challenged his response.

"Just admit it, Aarav," I pressed on. "You were jealous, weren't you?"

"No, I wasn't." He tried his best to defend himself.

"Sure, whatever sails your boat." I teased him.

He let out a guilty exclamation, his face dropping dramatically. "Well, maybe I was... just a little," he admitted.

I scoffed, unable to contain my amusement.

"It is just that you got everybody's attention in our family including my mother who loved you so much that she gave very little time to her own son but you didn't even bat an eyelash at me even after I tried to get your attention." He said it in his most fake sad voice as he looked at me with a puppy face.

What a drama queen he could be.

I scoffed in mock.

"That's because you were always so rude and constantly played pranks on me with Dhruv," I retorted, countering his accusations.

"I did play pranks to get your attention and spend some time with you." He retorted defending himself.

"You are stupid you know that right? Who even does that!?" I asked exasperated at his stupid strategy.

Aarav opened his mouth to respond but caught himself mid-sentence.

"You know what? I think I need a drink to have this conversation with you," he declared, exasperation and amusement mingling in his voice.
