     It's started to get dark, so I grabbed my surf board, and I ran out onto the beach. My family owned a beach house that I stayed at 99% of the time. I only ever live with my parents if there is a freak storm on the way.

     One thing I loved more than anything, was surfing and swimming under the moon. It's was the most peaceful time. No dumb kooks being annoying. Or my friends overloading my mind with everything going on. This is really the only time I ever have to myself to slightly relax.

     As I was about to leave I got a text from Kie.

Kie: Hey, are you going to the kegger tonight? Us Pogues will be there.

Y/n: I'm not sure. What time does it start?

Kie: 10

I looked at the time and it said 8:15.

Y/n: Yeah, I'll be there.

     After that I set my phone down and went out to the water.

*10:30 w/ Pogues*

      "Didn't you say y/n was going to be here?" John B asked Kie. "She said she was going to." They shrugged it off and then JJ went over to them with a drink for himself and a drink for Kie. "Woah, check it out." JJ said as he pointed out to the water at a girl who was surfing in the middle of the night. "Now that's my type of girl." JJ stated. He ran up to a shack and stole someones board. "I'll be back!" He yelled as he ran out to the water.

*Y/n POV

     After a while of surfing I decided to just relax on my board. I was sitting on my board with my legs dangling in the water. My finger dragged alonges the water droplets on my board. "You too cool to join in on the party going on at the beach?" I knew that voice anywhere. But he didn't seem to recognize me. I kept my face turned away and said, "Oh, most definitely." I said with a small chuckle. "Y/n?" I turned around and saw JJ. "Hey." I said with a smile. "What are you doing out here?" "Just decided to surf a bit. It's the most relaxing under the moon. Though now you probably think that's weird that I do this." "Not at all." He chuckled. "Come on, you should come back with me to the party." "Alright." I agreed and we both swam back to shore.

*Kie's POV*

     I looked over and saw JJ and the girl coming back. The got out of the water and ran towards us. I was trying to see if I knew the girl but it was hard to see. "So, looks like you somehow picked up your DREAM girl." I said with a small laugh. JJ's face went red. "I don't know what your talking about Kie." He said between his teeth. "Dream girl huh?" I heard as I saw the girls face. "Y/N!? Oh this is so much better than I thought!"

*Y/n POV*

     "So, looks like you somehow picked up your DREAM girl." I heard my best friend say to JJ. I smiled a bit then looked to JJ who looked like he had seen a ghost. "I don't know what you're taly about KIE." He said between his teeth making me laugh. "Dream girl huh?" I asked as I looked to him and moved my surf board. "Y/N!? Oh this is so much better than I thought!" Kie knew about my small crush on JJ. So her saying all this made my cheeks go pink. "What exactly is Kie talking about?" I asked JJ. "Oh, um, nothing." "Just that he was about to go try and get the girl of his dreams. Yeah he saw some girl surfing under the moon. And well he said... What was it you said JJ? Right... 'Now that's my type of girl'." Kie said the last part mocking JJ. I let out a breathy chuckle and I looked over to him. As soon as his eyes met mine he looked away and said, "Alright I'm going to get a drink." Everyone laughed at his way to avoid the conversation.

*Later that night*

     We were all sitting by a fire and decided to play Truth or Dare. Our game started out with quite a large group of people. And now it's basically just down to my friends and I. "Alright JJ, truth or dare." Kie asked with a slight smirk. This is going to be good. "Dare." "I dare you to describe to girl you like. But no using names." JJ looked worried. I then started to listen to what he was saying.

     Everything else JJ said just became faint noise to me. Was what he saying true? I mean sure he could be talking about anyone. But I don't know. The feeling started to be a lot for me to handle. I jumped up and walked away.

*JJ POV*

     "and she-" I stopped as I saw y/n walk away. Shit, this was a bad idea. "Fuck." I said. Kie looked to me and I gave her the look of 'WTF just happened' I mean she's y/n she would know right? Kie just shrugged. "Shit." I jumped up and ran after y/n.

*Y/n POV*

     I stood by the group of people getting drinks, and I decided to get one as well. Then, I just sat in the sand. "Room for one more?" I looked up and saw JJ. "Uh, yeah." He then came and sat down next to me. "You alright?" He asked. I could tell he was actually concerned. "Yeah, I'm fine. Why do you ask?" "Well you kind of ran away from the group." "Oh, I uh- just had to much smoke in my lungs. A mix of everyone smoking weed and the fire blowing on me." I lied. "Makes sense. But are you sure that's it?" "Yeah." "You're a horrible liar." He said with a small chuckle. "It was worth a try." I said sighing knowing he was right.

     What's really going on?" He asked. "It doesn't matter." "Yes it does." "No it really doesn't." "If you don't tell me right now what's going on I w-" "Who do you like?" I blurted out. JJ Chuckled then asked, "Is that way this is all about?" I nodded and looked to my fingers, then said, "It's just, when you were describing this girl, it kinda sounded like me. And well-" "That's because it is you." "Really?" I asked. He nodded. "I was worried you were like weirded out or something and that's why you ran off. I'm sorry if it's we-" I cut him off by kissing him.

     As we pulled apart he looked to me and smiled slightly. "Wha-what was that for?" "You were rambling. And you started to sound like Pope." He laughed and said, "Thank you for stopping me. we don't need another Pope. Oh and feel free to stop me again like that whenever you want. I laughed and shoved him playfully. "Alright, ready to go back to the group?" He asked. "Not quite yet." Before anything else, I kissed him once more.

     We walked back over to the Pogues holding each other's hands. "Just so you know we are going to pretend we didn't see anything." John B said. I laughed and said, "Thank God." Everyone else then joined in on the laughter.
