(A/N: First off, this is a remake of the original story that I had written and I want to make it as unique as possible.

For those that read the original, there are some changes:

- The English that some of the characters are speaking is slightly better than before.
- Y/N knows how to speak Japanese after living Japan for a couple of years.
- There will be smut, which I've improved on in some of my books by the way.

The Japanese language will be featured in this story because although it was an anime, in the original and now the remake, I want to make this story sound like as if it was based on a true story, like Casino, or Goodfellas.

If you don't like that idea for the concept of this story, then just don't read it. It's that simple. I've had to deal with idiots that hated how I presented Erina and how I was making Y/N be a crybaby almost half the time.

Anyways, I hope that gets everything out of the way and I hope you enjoy it!)

Y/N - Your Name
L/N - Last Name
E/C - Eye Color
H/C - Hair Color

Bio:

To me, being a chef was better than being the National Football League. Before I went to the sushi restaurant for an after school job, I knew I wanted to be a part of them. It was there I knew that I belonged. Chefs, they would cook amazing food. They did whatever they wanted in the kitchen. They'd try ingredients that was either a good idea or a bad idea. Even in after hours they'd cook so much, nobody would call the cops. It was something different from what I expected.

Gin Dojima, he was a recent graduate of the Kyokusei Academy for Cooking and I looked up to him as an inspiration to get in the kitchen, but before we get to all of that, I want to take us back to the beginning.

I've had a really bad childhood. I was new in the country, I had to give up my life in America, and I didn't have many friends. My stepdad died when I was just a little kid. My mom then decided it was best to move to a new country to start fresh. She'd quit her job as a chef and took me to Japan. We knew no one when we moved out of America.

When we arrived, we had to find someone who could show us around and hopefully understand our language. Luckily, Gin saw us and welcomed us with open arms. We were wondering if he spoke English. We asked him if he spoke any, and it turned out, he was pretty good at speaking it. It was a blessing, considering that we were new to Japan and we didn't know anybody. Gin would spend his own money on Japanese language classes and we would thank him no matter what.

He gave us a home and introduced us to everyone he knew. And I met the most beautiful girl I've ever met, the God Tongue herself, Erina Nakiri.

The first time I met her, she was so rude that I couldn't stand her, but her grandfather on the other hand was super, super polite and was slightly nicer than Erina. She would actually turn the other way from me whenever she was coming to Gin's giant mansion for a party.

Listen, from where I'm from, I can understand why Erina would want to turn away from me, but I've been cooking all my life, so maybe I can prove to her that I can be a good chef when I need to be.

Also, whenever I tried to talk to her, Erina would just walk the other way and mutter, "Trash filled scum". I took it as an insult because I was growing up poor at first until my mom married a stockbroker in my stepfather.

That's the start of my story. Reader, you should know that cooking isn't just a career, it gives you lessons in life as well. My advice is find something that you're good at, and you will succeed.
