Alexander's POV

"This is going to be one of the biggest project in my life and I am impressed by your presentation" My Client said looking at the screen

"And I believe we have a deal here Michael"

"Of course Richardson. I must say after the presentation you showed us, I couldn't help but sign these papers" A satisfied smirk made its way to my lips as Michael said those words. Looking at me he took the papers from my Secretary before signing it

"It's a pleasure doing business with you Alexander, the number one in what he does" He stood up extending his hand, with a smile on his lips. With a nod of affirmation I also stood up to shook his hand. Michael and his secretary took their leave exiting the conference hall

Finally the deal is done. And from this very day my company is going to keep it's position of being number one in the business field, for a while without any doubt. Checking the file one more time I decided to go home.....to my Rose

These two weeks of was hectic working to achieve this huge project. But it was worth it. This project is going to be across the continents and is going to bring me in a whole new level in this field. And I can't wait to share this exciting news with my lovely Rose.

I miss her.... I really do. After that gala she seems off someway. And I can't wait to change that. I want to hold her in my arms and do whatever to see her smiling face

Taking the phone I saw her message saying that she is going out with Jess. I am happy to know that she decided to go out. Because she didn't get out of the house even for once in these two week. I knew the fact because the security group kept notifying me everything when I'm at work. I'm also relieved that she's going with Jess, who is like her own sister.

I glanced at the time of the message and found it was around 4:30 in the evening
Okay' so she will be home by now as it's already 7:30. I can't wait to see that beautiful face of her. When I reached where my mercedes was parked my guard opened the door for me to get in. The vehicle took off as soon as I got inside. After a minute or two,my phone rang and I picked up the call seeing the ID. It was Stephen.

"Alex"

"stephen,How are you?"

"I'm good Alex. How are you and Rose doing?" Eventhogh he said he was good. It didn't sounded like that. His voice sounded tired

"Really?.... and I believe you're not lying Stephen, are you ok?

"Yeah Yeah, I'm ok. There was something I wanted to take care of at my grandma's place Alex and I'm fine now that I did. But I'm not at relief until I will take care of something elseand I was just thinking about that"

"Well. Just tell me if you need any help Stephen. I'll gladly help you at any circumstance. By the way Steph, I was intending to meet you and I have some news for you" I wanted to share this with Stephen. But Rose comes first. I want her to be the first one to know this news

"What news?-" he didn't wait for me to talk as he continued "Actually I also have something to tell you"

"Ok. What is it?"

"This is something I want to tell you in person, Alex. Where are you right now?"

"I'm on my way home"

"Ok I'm coming over there... It's important" before I could say anything he cut the call. That was fast. What must be that important, Stephen want to tell me right now? He wasn't himself these days and I hope he's ok

After fourty minutes waiting impatiently, the car finally pulled inside through the large gates of my home. I quickly got outside with my office bag before entering our mansion. The place was quite as I got in. My arms were yearning to hold Roseline. I wanted to see her. My heart was beating fast Just like a teenage boy who comes to meet his crush. As I walked further into the hall I noticed the silence was too much for my liking.
