Days passed. It's been a month after Stephen came back to New York and moved to his apartment after the get-together leaving the couple alone. Stephen was also planning to start a new project here. But he shifted back to his apartment because It's been tough for him to watch Alex and his Eline together. He knows it's wrong to have this kind feelings for his best friends wife. But when he saw Rose for the first time he didn't knew she was Alex's wife. And the attraction he felt toward her grown eventhough he didn't wanted to after realising her married status

On the other hand Rose became restless when she came to know from Alex about what happened in Maldives wasn't an accident but a conspiracy to kill her. A murder attempt by her husbands ex-girlfriend. Rose doesn't even know if she can call Amanda as Alex's ex. No one saw her or heard anything about her after Maldives incident.

Now sitting alone in her house, she was waiting for her husband to comeback from his trip. It was only meant to be a two day trip but now it's three days. He was meant to come back yesterday. But he didn't. Like always she called him yesterday, but he didn't pick answer. To her relief Ron was with him and he said Alex is busy and they have to stay for another day. But for her these three days felt like three years. She dearly missed her husband. Alex became too busy in this few weeks with his deals, meetings and business trip. She didn't knew why she just wanted him near her always.

When he left she felt like she is all alone. There was guards, servants and maids. But still she was alone in this big house without Alex. He did tell her to go and stay with mom and dad. But she didn't wanted to miss sleeping in their room, in their bed where his fragrance is. But now her tiredness is making everything hard for her. She's feeling nauseous and weak all the time. Whenever Alex called her she didn't tell him about her health. Because she didn't wanted him to worry about her wellbeing when he's in France, handling important and official stuffs

Rose felt like bile rising up in her throat. She run to the bathroom and emptied her stomach. She's has been like this from yesterday. Washing her mouth and hands she came back to the room and made her way to the balcony. Soon she was curled up in the sofa outside the balcony while sipping her tea. She excitedly picked up her thinking it was her Alex. But to her disappointment it was Jess

"Hello, Alex where are you, why didn't you pick up the pho-"

"Wow babe calm down, it's me Jess not your Alex and how are you?" Jess asked enthusiastically

"I-I'm kind of good"

"And what kind of answer is that?"

"Huh?"

"My darling it's either I'm good Jess or I'm not, Jess. Not like I'm kind of good, Now tell me what is the problem? Where is your hubby?"

"There is no problem Jess. It's just that Alex, he's  not here, he's on a business trip"

"Aww Rose, I knew it. So your loving dashing, arrogant, rude, jerk of a husband left his Love. That itself is a problem babe" she said teasing me"But why do you sound so tired and sad, are you okay?"

"Because I miss him a lot and I'm not feeling well-" before I can say anything she cut me off "how dare he leave you when you're not feeling well?" Her tone changed from teasing to concern filled and then anger
