Author's POV

"You remember?" She saw his stare on her belly, but he didn't look shocked.

"Yea-yeah" Rose answered Alan, whose presence made her uncomfortable. And why wouldn't she look uncomfortable around him? After all the dirty Comments he told Alex about them the other day at her home. She still remember how one day Alex became really angry, hearing Alan's name from her lips. When she revealed he was the one who saved her, Alex told her to stay away from him confusing her. When she asked the reason, he refused to tell her. But after pressing him a lot, he finally told how Alan said certain things which was obviously not polite but disgusting things. And he also mentioned how they always been not so friendly when it comes to professional life and then now personal life also. But breaking her chain of thoughts Alan started talking

"Roseline, I want to tell you something, if you can spare me few minutes of course" Rose looked for Jess who wasn't at sight when she needed her.

"I-I have to go" she looked uncertain

"Please Rose, I know you don't want to talk to me. But Rose I'm not here to do or say anything wrong or inappropriate" she looked at him blinking her eyes. He palmed his face before looking at her again

"Look... I- I am really sorry Rose. You might be disgusted by me. Well I feel disgusted too at myself after saying those nonsense to Alex that day. But trust me Rose I didn't mean that. It's just-"

"It's just what Alan? Did you think what I would feel if I hear the things you told my husband about me? No?" Rose looked away before facing him again "I only saw you one time Alan... just one time, other than my nearly unconscious state in Maldives sea. I was really thankful to you for saving my life and I still am. You are my mother's best friends son and you go and say things that is disgusting to my husband, it was shocking and unbelievable. And I can't believe you would go and try to ruin my life?"

"I'm so sor-" his words were cut off rudely by one person

"Who is this Rose?" Jess asked making them turn to look at her as she walked to where they stood. Both Alan and Rose didn't noticed that Jess was back and standing there few steps away from them when they were talking

"This is Alan"

"Alan? as in the Alan?" Jess looked at Rose stressing the words earning a nod from Rose. Alan was also looking at the lady Infront of him as she stuck out her hand for him to shake.

"Thanks for saving my Rose's life"she said politely to him. He didn't hesitate to take her hands with a small smirk tugging on his lips

"You're welcome and hello Ms-" His words got cut off again, not rudely but painfully.

Rose or Alan did not even realise what happened next until Alan stumbled back slightly holding on to his nose. Jessica's fist collided with Alan's nose who was now checking his nose. As Jessica is short and not that strong she couldn't make him bleed. But still her punch did hurt him

"Jessica!!!" Rose almost screamed with a look of horror on her face. She walked to Alan who was still looked in pain

"Well hello to you too Alan. I'm Jessica Jones, Roseline's best friend" Jess said staring at Alan who was now groaning in pain while grabbing his nose. Satisfied by his present state, Jessica unfisted her palm and shook it slightly with a scrunched up face

"Ahhh it hurts like a bit** Man. What kind of nose is yours Mr Alan? Is that made of iron or something?" She asked like she didn't just hurt someone

Alan who was in pain looked up at Jessica's face in shock and gave her a look of disbelief.
