disembarking the train we heard a very load shoat
"firs' years, firs' years o'er here" a voice boomed we turned to see a giant of a man
we walked up to him
"harry my boy where did you disappear off to, the headmaster was quite worried for your safety" hagrid
"uncle severus will explain he took me in after my goblin accountant can to get me" i said he nodded
"the headmaster, had forced me to live with muggles after my parents deaths, and boy were they bloody unpleasant" i explained draco and hermione nodded
"i'm hagrid, anyway follow me you lot" he called as he led the way to a set of boats
"no more'n four ta a boat" hagrid yelled
hermione draco and a blond haired girl joined us
"everyone in" hagrid asked he had a boat to himself for obvious reasons
"right then, FORWARD" the giant bellowed
as the boats moved forward allow the students to catch the first glimpse of the castle in all of glory, though i preferred rosencroft castle more, it was still a very majestic sight to see
as they disembarked and walked up a flight of stairs they were met by an old lady
"the firs' years, professor McGonagall" hagrid stated
"thank you hagrid i shall a take them from here, welcome to hogwarts to you all" she said to the group of students
"the start of term banquet shall soon begin, however before you take your seats within the great hall you must first be sorted into your respective houses, the sorting ceremony is a very important ritual while you are here your house will become something similar to family, you will have classes together, sleep in a dormitory together, and spend your free time within the common room of said dormitory" she said then paused made sure no one was confused
"their are four houses in total, they are gryffindor, hufflepuff, ravenclaw, and slytherin, each house has their own history and legacy, and each has of course produced outstanding witches and wizards, while at hogwarts your triumphs shall earn you house points, while rulebreaking will lose them, at the end of the year the house with the greatest score, win the house cup" she continued then paused allowed them to digest this
"the sorting ceremony shall take place within a few minutes, in front of the rest of the school, so each house make welcome you, as you become one of them, i suggest smartening yourselves up as much as possible while waiting first impressions do mean many things" the professor concluded before entering the great hall leaving the students to chat amongst themselves
"i shall be in slytherin" draco said rather confidently
"i hope for such as well" i said
"i hope to be anywhere but slytherin, since i am muggleborn" hermione said
"if anyone dare touch you, they will feel the wrath of the heir of gryffindor, ravenclaw, and slytherin" i snarled
causing both of them to be surprised
"the first two are do to my parents my father is gryffindor my mother is ravenclaw, the last is through conquest i beat the dark lord who was the heir of slytherin as such his house is now mine" i said they nodded in understanding
