the next morning our group walked over to the gryffindor table
"hey ginny can i talk to you" i asked most of the entire school revered me this of course included most of gryffindor i was the heir of their house after all that was no secret
"of course harry" ginny said me my group and her left to a more private setting
"how much do you know about your brothers rat" i asked
"scabbers, he's a bit boring" ginny said
"he's an unregistered animagus" i said her shock was evident
"Don't scream" i warned her and she quickly calmed down
"how do you know" she asked
"i have a man who swears by it, anyway that rat got my godfather sent to azkaban, i want to make him pay so i need him, and when we take him i'll prove to you my words" i said
"alright i'll get him from ron that shouldn't be difficult, he is in ron's room most of the time anyway, but what about ron" ginny asked
"his rat is a mass murderer i think he'd be glad to be rid of him, we are going to be turning him over to the ministry" i said
"well then i'll get him to you by lunch" she said
"perfect, i should mention professor snape will be with us he is in on this" i said she nodded
and we left for our classes after lunch was a free period fortunately and we as promised met back up just at lunch as i had warned professor snape was with us she showed up however with scabbers in hand she handed it to me
"hello pettigrew" i said the moment it heard that it began to panic
"hermione if you would" i asked she drew her wand
"wingardium leviosa" she said and scabbers began to float and panic more
"did you think i'd let bite me then run off, come on let's get it to the headmaster" i said
"passwords treacle tart" severus said
"you coming ginny" i asked she nodded and followed with the group
when we arrived we knocked on the door
"enter" a voice said
"ah students i assume a teacher gave you my password what can i do for you" he asked
"one moment sir we are waiting on professor snape" i said he nodded and a while later snape came in with sirius once the door closed snape sheathed his wand
"now we do not know the anti-animagus charm, but this rat is one peter pettigrew if you would cast it you will see that" i said dumbledore drew his wand and did so and as i promised peter pettigrew himself appeared
"this changes everything, Mr. grindelwald well done" dumbledore beamed as pettigrew new he was caught he couldn't escape dumbledore especially not when he new of his animagus form
he sent a letter with fawkes immediately it took a few hours but the minister himself came through floo to see it for himself
"my word it is pettigrew" he said
"you will find after interrogation that pettigrew framed sirius to avoid his own death after he betrayed my family to voldemort and like sirius claimed he was innocent of the charges against him" i said
"yes i am sure i will, well done Mr. grindelwald and friends a reward shall be given for this" the minister said
"give it to the weasley's they have way more need of it then i and without ginny's cooperation we would have had a real hard time getting at him you see minister, pettigrew is an unregistered animagus he transforms into a rat, something everyone present besides yourself can attest to" i said he nodded again
"very well then, Mr black you will still need to come with me for your name to be cleared"
"he is not going back to azkaban i hope" i asked he shook his head
"we put an innocent man into azkaban this is but a formality" the minister said as he called a few aurors who took both sirius and peter away through the floo network neither of them fighting peter because he was scared and sirius who was triumphant smiling from ear to ear he had finally gotten his revenge and was about to be free
"well then it seems today's excitement has been taken care of you four are of course relieved of your classes, and well done, severus if you would" dumbledore said with a smile the four nodded as did severus as they exited the room together with severus being the last one out i sighed
"ginny could i speak with you" hermione said ginny nodded and she waved the two of us off
"i'll see you in the common room" she said we nodded and went back to our room
"i have noticed the glances you have been taking to harry" i said and she blushed but hermione smirked
"what if i told you harry is to have nine wives" hermione said
"WHAT" ginny yelled
"he doesn't have a choice to matter all of them are his house seats he has to fill each one requires a different lady to give birth to rebuild each house" hermione said
"so i have a chance with him" she said hermione nodded
"you could become one of his ladies or a consort if you don't like the spotlight i have a particular seat in mine i am going for actually one of two either one i'll be happy with" hermione said
"are you encouraging me to pursue him" she asked hermione nodded
"i'm gonna be honest there are i things his family have told me about him, that make it impossible for him to be happy with a single wife, right now he doesn't know it and hates the fact he has to have more then one" hermione said
"wow, so how do i get noticed" she asked
"i'll invite you to our table to spend time with us but i will tell you this, but i will warn you now, i get his first" hermione said her friendly smile gone
"got it, you were first anyway it's only fair" ginny said and hermione smiled again
"well then i'll see you at dinner" hermione said
