Chapter 20

Shay

We decided to reschedule the doctors appointment and push it back for a month, it's late November. We both missed our periods, just like we knew we would. We haven't spoken to Twan or Yvonne about the results because we wanted to surprise them.

We are at the hospital Vee works for, and are patiently waiting for the results.

Vee get's a text from her friend Chanel asking where we were because she want's to meet us.

Chanel comes basically barging through the door 5 minutes later introducing herself, she's really pretty.

"So...a blended family huh?" she asks us.

Yvonne goes "That's right! Our children will have one amazing father and three loving mothers".

Vee "They gone be spoiled rotten! she says laughing. 

"You dam right they will' Twan agrees.

I'm just sitting back watching everybody conversate like is this really happening. When all of sudden we get a knock on the door and the doctor comes in. Everyone got real quiet, Chanel just sit there not leaving being hella nosey. lol

Vee calls Neyelli and puts her on FaceTime.

"Come on doc, give it to us straight no chaser" Neyelli says.

Doctor "Your suspicions were correct, you're both pregnant" he finally reveals.

Maaaann the whole room erupted with screams and cheers, I look over and Vee is staring at me.

"Baby you ok?" she asks gently.

I shake my head yes "I'm just overjoyed right now" I say back. She just smiles at me and we hug.

"Damn, I got three baby mama's" Twan says says out loud in disbelief. We all bust out laughing.

Doctor "Well lets go ahead and schedule and ultra sound, we can get you in right now if you want?" he asks us.

We all shook our heads yes!

"Well alright yall congratulations on the pregnancy, Vee I'll see you at work" Chanel announces and departs, waving us goodbye.

"Okay girl talk to you later" Vee says back.

We all leave the crowded room walking towards another room for the ultra sound. I told Vee she could go first and the lady nurse puts the gel on her stomach then starts to search.

Sure enough it was a little dot on there, we all said aaawwwwww!

I'm up next so I help Vee off the table, then I lay down and pull my shirt up.

The lady nurse comes over and repeats the same process and I am super nervous.

Lady nurse goes "Okay, lets have a look" her face scrunches up looking at the monitor. "Okay there we go....oh wow!"

"Wow, what?" I say looking at her.

"Mrs. Jones, not only do you have one baby, but two!".

"TWO??" everyone says in unison.

"Aw hell YEA" Twan screams "TWINS!!!".

"Did she just say TWINS?" I heard Neyelli say still on the phone.

I'm just laying on the table like thinking twiiiinnnnnnsss? Just my got dam luck. This about to get even more interesting.

Vee comes over to me shaking me out of my own thoughts.

"Babe, I didn't know twins ran in your family" she questions me.

"I didn't either" I say looking just as puzzled.

"Oh um that would be my fault" Twan confesses "Yea on my fathers side we have 3 sets of twins" he continues trying not to hold his amusement.

"Niiiiice" Yvonne finally spoke up.

I sat up and Vee is standing between my legs "Baby you ok? she asks me again "You look a bit off today" she examines me while checking my temperature on my head.

"I am completely fine love, just taking this all in" I express and she hugs me.

The lady nurse printed out pictures for us and scheduled us for another appointment. She told us we are both 6 weeks pregnant and according too her calculations we should both pop in July between the 20th and 30th.

We went and bought some prenatal pills right there at the hospital.

We decided to meet up at our house. Neyelli said she would be there shortly and Twan and Yvonne followed us to the house.

As soon as we park, Yvonne is whining about food lol.

"Ima just go head and order all of us some food, what yall want?" Twan asks us.

Vee "Pizza".

Me "Tacos".

Yvonne "Jalapeño burger".

Twan just stood there and started to fake cry and we all laughed at him.

"Nope we not doing this! Yall better get together and make a final decision" he says shaking his head no.

"Damn baby fava, it's like that?" Vee jokes

"Yo, stop calling me that" he laughs back.

"Baby favaaaaaa" I mock him.

Yvonne is hysterically laughing, laid back on the couch. She kicked off her shoes like she was right at home, issa whole vibe.

Twan

They ol greedy asses finally agreed on some Vietnamese food, Yvonne wanted them to try some dish called Pho. We get a knock at the door and it's the food and Neyelli she pushes pass me, smiles and says hello.

I get a call from my mother as I am bringing the food in.

"Hey son, so what did the doctor say?" she asks.

"Ma, they both pregnant and guess what" I say super excited.

"Twan you better tell me right now" she goes.

"Shay having TWINS!" I finally let out.

"OH LAWD! four grandbabies? This is to much, I'm so happy for you" she says in pure joy. "Okay, I'll tell your father he's not at home right now. You go celebrate with your family and I love you son, you made your mama very proud" she confesses.

I tried to hold the tears from falling, but couldn't and I say goodbye then hung up.

"What you back here sniffling for?" Vee says and I get startled a bit.

I turn around and she just standing there with her hands on her hips.

"Yo, I just told ma about the great news and she said she was proud of me" I confess.

"Awwwww that's so sweet of her, and you should be proud" she says sweetly.

"I am! it's just you know it started off with just me and you then BOOM! Shay and Yvonne, we have really come a long way" I say in disbelief.

"Yea I definitely feel you, we are going to have so much fun" she says while coming up to me and bumps my shoulder gently with hers.

I look down at her glad that I still have her in my life and forever now! lol

"Come on, lets go eat" I say gently.

We had a ball, we ate and joked around. Neyelli announced that she Eloped with her girlfriend in Vegas last month. Vee damn near started choking her, Shay had to drag Vee off the poor girl. This family crazy.
