The birds were awake, the daytime coming as the sun hid beneath the grey-ish-white clouds. Rain was slowly spitting from the sky as the occasional snaps of twigs could be heard by the group of four. The raindrops from the sky hit the petal leaves that were connected to the trees hit the ground, making the dirt become mud as it stuck to the groups boots. Part of their clothes had gotten wet from the water that hit them every few seconds, getting their hair wet as well like rain always did.

For a few hours, Octavia had been leading the way the entire time, her sword that Lincoln had given her in her hand. Bellamy, Y/n and Clarke had large guns in their hands. The blonde trailed behind the group, Bellamy and Y/n beside each other while Octavia was in the front. Octavia led her brother, best friend and friend down a hill and near a pathway where a large statue could be seen just feet ahead of them.

Octavia seemed to have gone frozen before continuing down a small hill, staring right the statue and the logs and trees that covered the way. The last she had been here was the last time she had seen Lincoln before he was taken by the reapers. Bellamy looks down at the small paper in his hand that had been apart of Lincoln's book Octavia had. The picture was of the same statue that they could currently see.

"This is it. Which way to the village?" Bellamy asks, not receiving a response from his sister. "O?"

"The reapers came from there." Octavia whimpers, using her sword to point at the pathway. "I couldn't save him, Bell."

After that, he pulled his little sister into a hug, holding her close to him as Clarke and Y/n glanced at each other with frowns just when Octavia repeats those same words again. Bellamy gently caresses the back of his sister's head in hopes of giving her comfort. Soon enough, they pulled apart and Y/n pulled her best friend into a comforting hug, which Octavia gratefully hugged back. Bellamy stared at them with a sad smile as he watched the girls he loved.

After a minute, they pulled away and Octavia was soon leading the way again. As they ran through the woods, the sound of gunshots in the distance made them all stop. The group of four shared glances before rushing off again, knowing that was coming from the camp. It had to have been Finn and Murphy. The gunshots continued happening every single second that went by as they all rushed in the direction of the sounds.

After about another minute, they were rushing up a hill before stopping right at the top just as the gunshots stopped. Just in front of them, was Lincoln's village, dead bodies laying everywhere, along with other grounders who cowered behind some walls they had been put in. There, being the only ones that weren't apart of the village, stood Finn Collins and John Murphy. Finn's gaze immediately stopped on Clarke who glanced around the village in shock before looking to him.

Octavia was rushing down the hill, kneeling beside a lifeless boy as another grounder was kneeling beside him as well. Meanwhile, Clarke had slowly began walking down, glancing around in confusion. Y/n and Bellamy follow, the Murphy girl's eyes soon stopping on her brother. Murphy's eyes were already on her, a bit of shock, yet relief, showing on his face that she was alive but shock at the state she was in. The cuts that had stitches in them all over her face. Both their hair was wet from the rain like everyone else's.

Murphy watched as his twin sister, the only person he's ever loved and wanted to protect his entire life, ever since they were even babies, looked at the lifeless bodies with a shocked look before looking at him, almost as if she was silently asking him if he had done this as well. She felt relief flow through her when he shook his head, a frown coming to his face. Both Murphy siblings couldn't help but examine each other. Cuts, bruises laid all over Y/n's face and body, but he could only see her face and hands.

Dried blood, dirt, mud, bruises and some more laid on his face. He looked worse than her. The Murphy twins had gone through a lot these past couple days, and every second that past, they were always on each other's minds. They had gone through so much ever since they landed on the ground, and they were always there for each other as they were all they thought about. John Murphy promised himself and his twin sister he'd protect and take care of her ever since they were babies. He didn't know it then, but when they were kids, he knew he probably thought about it when they were babies when their tiny eyes first looked into one another's.

He felt like he broke his promise to her after they were separated during the battle against the grounders. He felt like he broke his promise when he was banished from camp the night Charlotte died. He felt like he broke his promise when their father was floated and their mother revealed she had a second child when she was drunk one night. The only reason he got revenge on the man who turned in their father was to get justice for their father and her. And he felt like if he was in Skybox where his sister was, then he'd feel better knowing they'd at least be a bit closer.

Clarke slowly lifted her head to finally look at Finn who was already staring at her. The Collins boy hadn't looked away from her when they arrived into the village. The others watched as he took a step towards the blonde, but she stepped back, shaking her head, not being able to process any words. She was just shocked that he'd do this. This wasn't the Finn Collins she knew and grew to love.

"I found you."
