KIARA

I was in the hall of Rudraneel's house. Sitting on the sofa, and waiting for him to arrive so that he could say whatever he had to. I had to wait for him because as much I have observed this house, there wasn't any elder present here.

It was past midnight, and he hadn't arrived till now. Where would have he went? Did he forget that tomorrow is Aai's transplant? Is he really irresponsible as such?

I wondered so many things, and that's when my eyes fell on Rudraneel, who was entering the house with Avinash. Yeah, how can I forget the fact? I have to face Avinash every now and then because we will live under the same roof. But the moment I saw him, I was shocked.

Avinash had a plaster on his hand which indicated that his hand was broken and then, I noticed his fingers, on the other hand, his little finger was missing. What did happen to him?

"What's this wretch doing here?"
Before I could say or act anything, Avinash's spiteful words hit my ears. And I was surprised by the amount of rage he had against me, that even after going through such pain, he was spitting hate against me.

"Avinash! Mind your tongue," Rudraneel growled in a calm yet threatening voice.
"No, what? Tell me? What is she doing here?" Avinash reacted, and then looked at me.

I took a couple of steps back, as I didn't trust Avinash even a per cent.
"And, wait a minute. Why is she dressed up as a bride? And chachu, why are you in a sherwani?" Avinash showered up questions and I noticed his expressions.

He has no idea what was happening and how to react to it. He was shocked, disappointed, angered and what not.

"She is my wife. We married a couple of hours ago," Rudraneel announced and I looked down, towards the floor.

I controlled my tears as I had zero intentions to cry. What an amazing way to start my married life. Two people standing in front of me, one my so-called husband, while the other, what do I even say. This was going to be a nightmare.

"What? Wife? Chachu, are you on your senses? You married this wretch? How can you do that? And why did you marry her?" Avinash shouted in anger.
While I was quietly bearing all the humiliation Avinash had to shower on me.

"Because I love her," Rudraneel retorted.
I looked at him as I was surprised by his statement. Rudraneel loves me? I kept on looking at him, while he looked at me as well.

"And, you have no right to say a word against my wife," Rudraneel announced in a threatening tone, while I kept looking at him, gulping down my saliva.

His eyes were fixed on me, while I kept on looking at him. I felt something different in that gaze of his. There wasn't that evil look that he always had, I could see anger, resentment, guilt, helplessness and... And love. Something, that scared me.

"And Avinash. You're not in a position to shower questions or argue. The doctor has asked you to rest, so be a good guy and do that. Go and rest," he scowled at Avinash.

Avinash angrily looked at Rudraneel like he didn't want to walk from there. He didn't care that he was in pain, he just wanted to argue, and maybe Rudraneel understood that.

"Milan," Rudraneel shouted, making me flinch a bit.
"Yes, boss?" Milan immediately replied.
"Take her to the room," he ordered.
"Okay boss," Milan replied and then I could hear his footsteps approaching me.

"Kiara, let's go," Milan spoke as he held my hand.
I nodded as I walked with him, while my eyes were fixed on that one person, Rudraneel Rane.

I walked with Milan as he took me to Rudraneel's room. As I entered the room, I looked around, the room was huge and it looked organized.
