KIARA
"Kiara,"
I heard his roar and before I could flinch or even react, he held my neck and tried to choke me.That moment, I felt like I was about to die, he would kill me. And I tried to struggle to escape from his grasp but I couldn't and at last, I closed my eyes.
My entire life flashed in front of me at that moment, it would have been merely ten seconds, and in those ten seconds, I saw only one man, Mukul.
And at that time, living felt pointless to me. What if I die, and finally reunite with Mukul? Wouldn't that be perfect?
But before that, he left my neck and I was snapped back into reality. I started coughing due to the pressure in my neck that didn't let me breathe earlier. I kept on coughing for a while, and that's when Rudraneel was about to offer me a glass of water.
Oh nice! I held the glass of water and pushed him away along with it.He looked at me, utterly surprised. What did he except? I would react calmly or be sorry for what I said?
"Why did you stop? You should have killed me... And.. And then, news headlines for tomorrow, a husband killed his wife on the first night of the wedding. It would be great limelight for Rudraneel Rane," I scoffed, holding my life to ease myself.
"Oh really? Do you really think that?" He retorted.
I stared at him, and the next moment, he took his footsteps towards me. I wasn't prepared for the uncertain closeness, so as he was proceeding towards me, I was taking my steps back, slowly and steadily and the next moment I remember, I was pinned to the wall.
I stared at him, while he was hell close to me. His face almost touched mine, as I could feel his lips nearing me. It made my heart beat rapidly and I was scared. What were his intentions?
And the next minute, he held my face, tightly, digging his fingers on my cheeks, hurting me physically.
"So, do you want to die?" He growled, staring deep into my eyes, trying to scare my soul.
"You... You can't... Can't kill me..." I replied, struggling to speak as his fingers were hurting my jaw.And the next moment, he left my face and took a few steps back, letting me escape through the cage he formed with his body. But, I didn't move, I wasn't going to be scared, because there is nothing for me to fear.
"And, if you kill me, I would be the happiest person in this world," I spoke, trying to scar his soul.
He turned in the other direction, and I smirked. He can't break me, I won't allow anyone to break me at any cost.
"You should go and sleep. It's too late. You have to go to the hospital tomorrow, for your Aai's operation," he spoke in a low tone as he walked towards the door.
"Rudraneel," I called him.
"What?" He turned around, abruptly."I... I can't sleep in this bridal attire. It's... Uncomfortable," I confessed, looking towards the floor.
"Here, have the keys to my wardrobe," he replied as he threw a bunch of keys towards me and I caught them immediately."Pick up any of my t-shirt and pyjamas that you feel comfortable with, wear that and sleep," he told me.
I quietly nodded.
"And tomorrow, when you go home from the hospital, pack your things and bring them here. I will ask Milan to prepare a separate room for you," he continued.
"Okay," I replied. And the next moment, he walked out of the room.
As he went away, I looked at the keys that Rudraneel handed me over, and I couldn't help but smirk."So, here I have the keys to your destruction, Rudraneel. You're going to repent your every decision and every action," I chuckled.
