THE START OF THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX

Severus was safe, though Lily's questions certainly had been difficult for him to answer, especially after she saw the Dark Mark, though she still didn't know what it meant, thinking it was just a tattoo, but Severus had said it was part of the curse, which seemed to satisfy her for some time, but she would find out sooner or later.

Anne decided to deal with it later. She had something major happening and she couldn't just think of maybes and whens. After all, her first meeting with the Order of the Phoenix was coming up and she was extremely anxious and a bit scared, if completely honest.

If she didn't hate Dumbledore as much as she did, she would be holding his hand as she walked into the small space of the headquarters of the half-formed Order.

The headquarters of the Order was Dumbledore's actual home in Godric's Hollow, just a few streets away from the house James and Lily would die in if Anne somehow failed on her mission. The simple proximity of the place made Anne sick whenever she stopped feeling nervous. The fact that Dumbledore was also the adult supervision Anne had received to the meeting also made her feel sick to the stomach.

"Anne! Professor Dumbledore is here!" Sirius screamed from down the stairs.

Anne sighed in her room, but opened the door.

"Coming!" she screamed back.

"And Peter?" she asked.

"His mum told him he couldn't go," James said. "I'll see you later?"

"Sure," she said, nodding.

James kissed her head before going back into his room as Anne ran down the stairs. She turned before going into the drawing room where Dumbledore was calmly talking to Fleatmont, Euphemia and Sirius being on the side near the piano talking amongst themselves.

"Evening," she greeted.

"Anne, my dear, hello," smiled Dumbledore.

"I'll see you later, Mia," Anne said. "Bye, Monty. Sirius, bring me a sweet on the way back from the pub, yes?"

Sirius nodded, clearly uncomfortable with the idea of Dumbledore being in the same room as him, though he wasn't being scolded or chastised this time. Besides, he could see Anne and Dumbledore had some tension between the two of them.

Dumbledore, seeing the hurry and nervousness in Anne's eyes, nodded at Moty in farewell and led the girl to the fireplace, holding onto her as they stepped on the floo and were swallowed away by the green flames.

On the other side, Dumbledore helped the girl out and smiled.

"Welcome to the Dumbledore Household," he said gently.

Though Anne was aware that the half-blood family had never been all that rich, she still was taken aback about how simple and humble the small house she was in truly was. It was a simple living room with two sofas right beside the dining room with a six-place table with seven chairs; one of the chairs was a high chair... a baby chair.

Anne watched it for a second.

"We thought Molly Weasley was coming tonight, but the Weasleys are not coming," he explained, seeing she was looking at the chair. "She has a small baby –"
