George POV

I step out of the shower, steam fogging up the room as I dry myself before putting my clothes on.

I brush my teeth before stepping out, Dream still sleeping peacefully in my bed.

I look into my mirror, ruffling up my damp hair before my eyes wander around the room.

Something specifically caught my eye.

The camera.

I glance back over to Dream to make sure he's still asleep before walking up to it.

I'm sure my mum wouldn't mind me borrowing her laptop.

I quietly leave the room and walk into hers, finding the laptop shut on her desk.

I unplug the charger from it and carefully take it back into my room, closing my door behind me.

I sit on the chair, opening the laptop to the password screen, entering my birthday before I'm brought to the main screen.

Mothers are so predictable.

I look about for my earphones, spotting them on a shelf close by, the one I usually kept my goggles on.

I plug them in, placing them in my ears and taking another look at the camera.

Part of me wished that I didn't have video evidence, that watching it wasn't an option but it was. I picked up the camera taking a look at it's contents briefly.

Everything on the camera was on the USB, all I had to do was insert the USB and let the videos and pictures download.

Some would call it torture, making yourself rewatch things from the past that give you the trauma that you deal with on a day to day basis.

It wasn't like that for me, I felt a sense of comfort knowing that I wasn't crazy and that I didn't imagine these things happening to me.

It was all very much real.

I put the USB in, letting out a breath I didn't know I was holding as I sink into the chair.

I open a new tab so I didn't have to see what contents it was downloading.

I decide to go on YouTube and find some music to entertain myself while I wait.

It had probably been around half an hour when everything had been downloaded.

I click off the music and into the folder, scrolling to the top, clicking on the first video.

I left it paused, taking in the initial photo. I was in the background, sat barely clothed in the bed as I looked to the camera with a smile.

"Georgie?" I hear a grumbled voice behind me and half shut the computer before turning around.

"Good morning" I smile at his bed hair "there's water and paracetamol on the side for you"

He picks it up and swallows the pill with the water before standing up.

"What're you doing?" He asks as he walks into the bathroom, leaving the door open.

"Not much"

He picks up the spare toothbrush that is basically his and starts to brush his teeth.

We sit in silence, listening to the scrubbing until he spits out the contents in his mouth.

"I was hoping we could hang out today" He says as I turn to face the half closer laptop in front of me.

"We hang out all the time"

"You know what I mean" he says as I can hear him pissing behind me.

"Normal people usually close the door to use the toilet" I say, a small smile on my face at his childishness.

"I'm not normal, besides it's nothing you haven't seen before" The chain flushes and the tap starts to run.

"So what're we doing?" He asks as he walks up behind me, leaning his hands on the back of my chair.

"I never knew you had a laptop"

"It's my mums"

"Oh what did you need it for?" He asks.

I keep silent as I try and think of something that'll take his mind off of it but as usual he's too observant.

"Oh, the camera" He points out, looking at the camera and USB attached to the laptop.

"I can leave you to it if you'd like" He offers.

"You can stay" I faintly smile up to him.

"Are you sure? Because I don't mind preoccupying myself while you-"

"Dream. Sssh" I say, unplugging the earphones and picking up the laptop.

"Come on we can take a look at it together" I say, making my way to the living room as he follows behind.

I place the laptop on the table and take a seat on the floor, leaning against the sofa behind me.

Dream joins me on the floor. "So what is on here exactly? Like what should I expect" He asks, looking a little uncomfortable.

"Well it's not pretty, I'm not 100% sure of what's on here but I know there's a lot for us both to take in" I faintly smile.

I hover over the space bar, closing my eyes and pressing it, the sound emitting from the screen as we both watch.

"We're back! George say hi to everyone" Jeremy smiles before looking back at George. "Hiii" George smiles, giving a small wave. "Okay since today has been a very good day for us, little George over here gets a treat" He laughs into the camera.

Dream pauses the video, making me glance over at him with concern.

"Do you look like that in every video?" He asks, not making eye contact with me as his eyes stay glued to the screen.

"Like what?" I ask.

"Smiling, acting happy when you look like you haven't eaten or slept in weeks"

"Dream it's only the first video, this is the nicest video on here"

"Why's he being nice to you then?" He asks.

"Because I made us a lot of money that day, he was really happy with me"

"Can I pick a different video?" He asks and I nod.

I watch him scroll through, clicking on one randomly before pressing play and sitting back again.

"Stop being so fucking incompetent and look into the camera" Jeremy says as he grabs George's face and makes him look into the camera. George had no colour in his face and his body was covered in bruises and cuts.

"Tell everyone what you did today" He orders as George keeps his head up to the best of his ability. "I didn't make enough money" he manages to say. "And?"

"And I accidentally passed out for too long and forgot to make myself look pretty" George's body looked weak, words barely audible as they left his mouth.

"You know what your punishment is don't you?" George simply nods. His body being thrown over as Jeremy scrambles to take his trousers off.

Dream pauses it once again, I look over to him and see his eyes filled with tears.

He really couldn't get through a few seconds of each video.

He looks like he's about to say something but his lip trembles.

I turn to face him, wiping his tears away and hugging him.

I didn't expect this reaction out of him.

Does he really care that much?
