Chapter 5: My Path

Jaune was sitting under a shade of a tree, as he was taking a small rest after he finished his killing fest. He quitely looked at Ananke's screen.

Jaune swiped at the air and soon Ananke's screen disappeared.

Jaune thought about the Fate cards he obtained and thought about when he should use them.

Jaune contemplated if he should use a Fate card right now, although he had Caliburn he really wanted to acquire something new. So after a few minutes of thinking he took out a Fate card and soon Ananke's screen blinked to existence right in front of him.

Jaune thought about what he should get as although he already has a great weapon, he really wanted a new one. He doesn't want to acquire a Resource card right now as he still haven't used all of the lien he got several years ago. Although having a vehicle or mount is cool, he really liked travelling by foot seeing that he was always alone.. maybe when he had a group. Having another ability is always appreciated but he already have good ones right now; like [Flucticulus Diana] and [Grimm Slaying Star].

Speaking of [Grimm Slaying Star], his body constitution rank has already reached D+ rank. But due to his Saint Body the true rank of his current body constitution is at B+. Only a handful of people could match Jaune's physical strength right now.

Although he can summon another servant, he knows that they would be of little help to him due to his rapidly increasing strength. And so he decides to use the Fate card for an Equipment card.

Soon the chosen card begins to glow and shows Jaune what he obtained.

Jaune was surprised to see Ananke issuing him a warning, she's never done that before. After seeing this, Jaune was hesitant about taking this sword. But nevertheless, he obtained it so he's willing to give it the benefit of the doubt.

"So Ananke, what's so different about this sword besides being enhanced? Is it dangerous for me to use? Will using it bring more harm than good?" Jaune asked Ananke with worry.

[Actually, Jaune obtaining this sword is his great fortune. The greatsword [Azrael] having been enhanced has the effect of instantly applying death with only the smallest scratch.]

[Azrael: It's edge can impose the termination of life with the slightest cut. The imposition of death can affect an opponent of any strength or stature.
