Chapter 21 (date night continued)

chapter 21 (this is date night continued because the other part didn't publish) Hope you enjoy!!

Me and Ricky walk out of the arcade hand in hand arguing about what movie we should go to.

"I say we should go to insurgent, because we watched divergent together." Ricky claims.

"But I wanna watch 50 shade of gray" I complain.

We get to the car before he can say anything.

I open my door and hop in the passenger seat.

I never drive when I'm with Ricky he always does it, probably because I make him do it.

He sits down and starts the car "okay, fine" he finally says "but we need to find a babysitter."

I groan and turn towards him "why not my parents?"

He laughs and then smiles at me "there both busy."

"Fine" I pout "what about grace?"

He just nods in response so I take out my phone and text her.

Amy: Are you available tonight?

Grace: no I found other plans since you ditched me😂

Amy: I need a babysitter!!

Grace: sorry I'm going on a date.

Amy: with who??

Grace: Alex the person who gave you popcorn.

Amy: okk

I turn my phone of and start fiddling with my hands.
Ricky looks over at me waiting for an answer. "She's busy" I inform him "she's going on a date with Alex."

He nods "well we could go on a family date."

Wow I actually like that idea it sounds fun.

We drive to my parents house. "We should go to the new movie Annie." I suggest. He thinks for a minute "okay that sounds good but where should we eat?"

There are plenty of restaurants but I don't know what to choose. It can't be to fancy because John could reck something or start complaining.

I would have said pizza ranch but of course the one and only Ben has to work there so that's not an option.

"How about a restaurant by the beach?" I suggest.

"That sounds good."

When we pull into her driveway I see that John is in the kicking a ball back and fourth in the front hard he is so cute!!

My mom must have heard us pull in because she comes out of the house with Popsicles in her hand.

When John sees them he quickly jumps up and grabs one out of her hand.

He then comes running over to me "hi mom" he says giving me a hug.

What? He didn't call me mommy. I miss him calling me mommy.

"Hey how about we go on a date night tonight, and go to a movie." I ask him.

He smiles really big "of course, let's go."

Ricky comes over to where me and John are and he grabs johns hand.

"Let's talk to grandma first" Ricky informs him.

We walk over to my mom and she hands me a blue Popsicle.

"Thank you" I tell her.
She smiles "so where are you going tonight?"

Me and Ricky look at each other and I smile "well first we are going to the beach, then we are gonna eat at a restaurant in that area" I continue "then we are going to that new movie Annie."

"Really?" John asks jumping up and down.

I nod and then he starts running around.

"Well that sounds fun Amy and Ricky." My mom says.

"How was he?" I ask her as she sits down on the steps.

Me and Ricky join her "well he did really good he met a new friend."

I smile at the thought of him having a new friend by his grandmas house.

"Her names Nichole" she tells us "her family just moved over here across the street."

"Oh" me and Ricky both say in unison.

We talk about John then a little girl comes out of the house my mom was talking about.

She has long black hair and she is wearing a white dress.

John notices her and runs over to her.
They come running over to where we are and Nichole smiles.

"Hi my names Nichole" she says.

"Hi I'm Amy, johns mom and this is Ricky" I say gesturing towards Ricky.
"Johns dad" I finish.

She nods and then they run of to play.

"Well we better get going" Ricky says getting up and grabbing my hand.

"John time to go" I yell so he can here me.

Nichole comes running from the backyard "bye Amy" she yells on the way back to her house.

John comes running back next and I open the door for him.

We all get in the car and John starts singing.

"Let's go have some fun" I tell everyone.

We walk over to the bathrooms and Ricky takes John over to the men's.

"Time to change" I tell myself.
I grab my blue bikini and my blue water shorts.
There is nobody in here so I just go to the first stall I see and change.

When I'm done I walk out and John and Ricky are standing waiting for me.

"Ready?" Ricky asks me.

I nod my head and run into the water, the sand feels good on my feet.

The boys follow behind and join me. We swim until about 6:30. Then we go to the cafe.

John was so happy when they had. Mac and cheese.

Me and Ricky decide to get shrimp in a basket to share.

As we wait for the food John starts talking about his new friend.

After he's done jabbering he looks at me "when can we see Adrian again?"
He asks.

That caught me by surprise and before I think about my answer I blurt out "at her weeding.

Ricky looks at me disapproving.

The waiter saved me by bringing are food.

After we eat we drive over to the movie theater. This is johns first going to a movie at a theater.

We get the tickets and I go get popcorn for everyone.

Finally I sit down and the movie starts.

I glance over at John everyone in awhile and he seems to be enjoying.

The credits play and John jumps up "it's over!"

People stare at us well we walk out of the theater.

Oh well "that was really good" I tell John as I buckle him into his seat."

He nods in agreement and we go back to the apartment.

I open the door and John is asleep so i pick him up and carry him inside.

"Goodnight buddy" I say kissing the top of his forehead.

Ricky does the same and we walk out of his room.

He turns me around as we get out of johns room, and he crashed his lips to mine. I kiss him back and we stay like that. The best night of my life.
