The Pickup Lines

--

Annabeth POV

The next few days at school were exhausting. Finals were coming and I was helping Percy study for his algebra exam later.

"I give up, Wise Girl," he said. "I just can't do it."

"Of course, you can," I encouraged. "I know you can."

"Cause for the first time in forever," he smirked.

I rolled my eyes, laughing. "Yes, there's always a first time in forever that you'll get this right. Now let's start."

"Let's play Tomb Raider," he suggested.

"What?" I asked. "We're supposed to be studying."

"I need a brain break."

"No."

"Please?" He gave me his cute seal eyes.

And then I caved.

"Fine. But then we're doing math again."

"After we eat."

"After we eat," I agreed.

"And sleep," he added.

"Percy!"

"Fine."

"I'll just watch you play," I said.

He shrugged.

"Pwercy?" Estelle said, coming in and jumping on Percy.

Percy dropped the remote and hissed in pain as Estelle landed on his chest.

"Estelle, get off," Sally ordered, coming in.

Percy closed his eyes for a minute. "What are you guys doing?"

"We're going to the store," Sally said. "Need anything?"

"The cure for cancer," Percy muttered.

I chuckled lightly and Sally frowned. "I'm no doctor, Percy."

"Well, try. I don't think I can last any longer," he smirked. "The pain!" he cried dramatically.

I pursed my lips. I didn't like it when he talked like that.

"I'll get blue cookies," Sally offered.

Percy nodded. "I need those."

"Anything else?"

"Nope. Maybe an aloe? My chest is starting to hurt again." He cast a look at Estelle and Estelle looked away guiltily.

"Sworry."

"Don't worry about it," Percy told her.

"Got it. Anything for you, Annabeth?"

"Can you get chocolates and flowers?" Percy asked. "I need them for my hot girlfriend."

His mom laughed. "Of course, honey."

Then, she winked at me and left and then Jason came in.

Jason was at Percy's very often. He was always helping him with stuff. And bro stuff.

Ugh.

"How you feeling, bro?"

"Like I got run over by a train," Percy groaned.
