Disney and Dinners

Annabeth POV

"Stay safe!" Helen called to me.

"Call us when you land!" my dad added.

They honestly didn't want me going to California without them, but I had assured that I would be fine and that I would call every night.

Besides, Helen and my dad both had to work and Bobby and Matthew had summer school.

Finally summer.

Can you believe it?

"Is everything good?" Percy asked, trying to give me a kiss.

"Ew!" I yelped, pushing him away.

He was wearing a facial mask because his doctor said that he was on chemo and his immune system would be shot.

He grinned. "Love ya too, Wise Girl."

"Gross," I muttered.

Sally was coming with us while Paul and Estelle stayed at home.

"Annabeth!" a voice called.

I turned around to see Piper, Silena, Jason, and Beckendorf.

"Hey!"

The guys (minus Luke) went up to Percy and gave him a fist bump.

We talked for a while before we had to go.

"See you in Cali, Annie!" Piper called.

I scowled. "Don't call me that."

"Bye Annabeth!" Silena called.

"Bye!"

We had different flight times because they still had to help Hestia. I had taken the day off because I knew that Percy wanted to get there since he'd already be on chemo.

We were meeting Grover and Juniper there since they had decided they were going on a vacation.

I made my way over to the scanner and emptied my pockets and placed my carry-on bag onto the belt.

I made it through without an issue.

Percy followed my lead but I guess he looked a little suspicious because they pulled him aside for further investigation.

"What did you do?" I asked him, laughing when he rejoined me.

"That was the more awkward experience of my life," he muttered.

I just laughed, heading over to the Starbucks.

"How can I help?"

I ordered a Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade drink and a heart cookie. I turned to Percy. "What would you like?"

He glanced at me, reaching to rub his stomach.

"You look like you're pregnant," I whispered to him.

He rolled his eyes. "I'll take a chocolate chunk cookie and a... do you guys have any blue drinks here?"

The lady gave him a curious look. "No, sorry."

"I'll take a double chocolaty chip crème frappe then."

She nodded. We paid and stood aside to wait.

When we got our food, we took our seats in the chairs by our terminal.

Percy sat down and leaned back, closing his eyes.
