Luke: It took him quite a few hours to return home, and you couldn't blame him since you'd slammed the door in his face and basically told him to go out in the midst of your argument. Though you had to admit, when you realized that Luke was taking his sweet time while he was out, you did start to get worried that he may not return home to you at all. For a first fight in a two year relationship, it had gotten pretty tense, and you didn't blame Luke if he didn't want to return home to feel the fury and awkward resides of your emotions waving through the house while he was going to be on a happy buzz. You pouted to yourself as you slumped down the stairs, noticing Luke's sleepy body on the couch as he flipped through the television channels with a bored expression upon his face. "Hey." You mumbled, hoping to get some sort of rise out of him - but all you got in return for your greeting was a head nod, and that's when you knew that Luke was still a little sensitive from your argument. Of course, this was going to take a lot of effort to fix - and you knew that it was going to take some talking to get the effort to fix it. Luke licked at his lips and let out a breath as he turned the TV off, throwing the remote onto the coffee table in front of him as he laid out across the couch, letting out a groan of relief in the process. "Do you want anything to eat? Or, did you already eat while you were out with the guys last night so you're not really that hungry?" You asked, trying to offer to do a good deed for Luke so that maybe he would actually respond and talk to you so that the start to the restoration of the happy relationship you once had could commence, but all you got as a form of answer was Luke shrugging his shoulders and letting out a sigh. "Doesn't matter. I'll eat later either way." He spoke slowly, as if he was hoping you'd get bored and not even listen to his answer. You rolled your eyes and crossed your arms over your shoulders. He was going to have to talk to you, regardless if he wanted to or not! You went into the kitchen and prepared the two of you plates of breakfast, full of pancakes and bacon, and you walked into the living room with both plates in your hands. "Here." You spoke, causing Luke to let out another breath and roll over, grabbing at the plate but raising his eyebrows once he saw that you were sat on the edge of the couch, waiting for him to move over so you could join him completely. He sat up and stretched his arms back before grabbing the breakfast plate, looking at you skeptically before taking the plate and beginning to eat. "You know," Luke whispers, biting into one of the pancakes with a small smile, "I really don't like it that we fought yesterday." He said. You chuckled while you were chewing a piece of your bacon, rolling your eyes at his statement. Of course he didn't like it - you yourself didn't like it, and you were the main starter of it all. "Argued, Luke. When you say we fought it sounds like you're saying that we struck at each other." You corrected him with a smirk, watching him roll his eyes. He took another bite of a pancake and swallowed before speaking up again. "I was serious about paying the debt off, (Y/N). I know I shouldn't have maxed out your card, but I lost mine and didn't know what to do." He pouts at the end of his explanation, causing you to sigh and put your plate on the coffee table, turning so that your knees were now touching into his side. "That's not the point, Luke. The point is that you took my card without asking me, without telling me that you had it. What if I would've had the card cancelled and you had tried to use it?" You reasoned, much more calm now that you were past the fact he'd spend almost two thousand dollars over your card limit. Luke bit the inside of his lip and sighed, running a hand over his face before he turned and looked at you. "I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry, I should've told you that I had your card. I should've cancelled mine and got another one, but I didn't. Mainly because I didn't think you'd get mad.." He laughed at himself, shaking his head in the process. How could he not think you would get mad? "The point is, I'm sorry for stealing your card and buying useless things with it, (Y/N). But," Luke smirks and shrugs his shoulders, "Out of everything I bought, your Christmas present was the best." He nods towards the bags that hadn't been touched since he got home from his first trip out yesterday. You sigh and shake your head, not understanding why he was bringing it up now. "I'll be right back." He says, and with that he hops off the couch and walks towards the kitchen, returning moments later with a small black box in his hand. You raised your eyes skeptically, noting how normally rings would be in a box such as that, and then Luke got down to one knee and held the box towards you - opening it and showing you a beautiful diamond ring. "I was going to wait until Christmas, because I had a lot planned out, but now seems like a better time.." Luke whispers, and before you can answer, he continues. "It's not an engagement ring just yet. It's a promise ring, to promise we'll always work our problems out and be together through thick and thin." Luke grinned as you bit your lip and nodded, grasping at the box and staring at the ring. "You're definitely forgiven, Luke."
