Andromeda didn't feel her nerves relax until Quebec City's lights were only slightly visible.

"You did good," Jason told Piper.

Andromeda didn't say anything, she just kept her eyes focused on the area below them. She heard Piper say something in French, but she wasn't really listening so she wasn't able to translate it.

"What'd you say?" he asked.

"I said I only talked to Boreas. It wasn't so amazing."

She didn't turn to look, but she imagined him smiling. "Hey," he said, "you saved me from joining Khione's subzero hero collection. I owe you one."

Andromeda couldn't shake this feeling. The one that had settled in her gut, like it was trying to tell her something. She could hear a voice in the back of her mind just screaming, "WAKE UP! WAKE UP!" But she didn't know what to wake up from, or how. How do you wake up from something you don't know or understand? None of it made sense, especially not Boreas letting them leave like it was nothing. It had something to do with Jason's past, those tattoos on his arm. Boreas assumed Jason was some sort of Roman, and Romans didn't mix with Greeks. And somehow, in all of that, a part of it was tied to Andromeda, they just didn't know how.

She couldn't get Jason's words out of her head, how he had described the way that Boreas changed from Greek to Roman or how he spoke to Jason as if he knew him. And his words...Romans and Greeks didn't mix well and Jason was definitely a demigod, that much was obvious. But what kind? And now...what if he was something else? What if he really was an enemy?

She didn't think she could stomach that.

Leo passed them some sandwiches from his pack. He'd been quiet ever since they'd told him what happened in the throne room. "I still can't believe Khione," he said. "She looked so nice."
