Samaira's POV

Tomorrow is the pool party. And it means Blake might be back soon. That day, after the call, I was very upset. And I have decided that I'll ignore him if he comes back. Because I'm really hurt. Andre tried to soothe me that day. And also tried to talk me out of it. But I've already made my decision.

I'm getting dressed for dinner. All the guests have reached for the wedding. Ivaan and Siara didn't want a huge wedding. That's why the guest list is also short. Only 100 people. I know 100 is a lot too. But not for Indians. Indian wedding usually has 1000 people.

I quickly put on some perfume and jog to the dining room. I am jogging in heels, which means my legs will ache later. I am not a huge fan of heels. I'm more of a sneaker person. But Siara told us to dress up as if we are going to a party. And we can't really say no to the bride.

And I was right. Everyone was waiting for me. "You are late Lil one," Ivaan said. "I'm sorry," I apologize and quickly take my seat. The middle seat.

"Why are you late?" one of my cousins asked. "Siara said to dress up properly. And I can't exactly do that without my team. I suck at it. And these heels are ridiculous. I'll always prefer sneakers," I said truthfully. "How do you dress up on regular days?" my aunt asks. "Regular days don't need much effort. And during events, I have my team," I answered already tired of their questions. I look at Siara, for help. She deals with these family and friends perfectly. Whereas, I don't even like conversing with them.

"Thank you all of you for removing time and coming for our wedding. We appreciate it," Siara says thankfully. And I look at her thankfully. And then everyone started chatting with each other.

"Why don't you like talking to them?" Laura asks. "You know the reason, Laura," I reply. "Yeah, but, you know you can just converse a bit," she states. "I will don't worry," I ensure her. "Yeah. She has to. Because even if she doesn't, they will," Andre speaks, as a matter of fact. And we laugh.

"Missed me?"

All of us turn around to look at who it is. It's Blake. I quickly turn my back to him. As if I don't care that he is back. That'll be a lie. I took one glance at him and I'm already anxious. But I have to stick to my plan. He comes and sits beside Ivaan. Which is only 2 seats away from me. Great! Now I can't even have my dinner in peace.

Andre, Laura, and Brien are sitting on my right, followed by the others. Siara, Ivaan, and Blake are on my left, followed by the rest. I just focus on food and on Andre's and my conversation. That way I won't have to think about Blake. "How have you guys been?" he asks. Lovely, as if he cares. "Good," all 5 answer. I just ignore him and drink my vine. I could care less about his faux concern.

"I am done. I'll be around the pool," I inform and leave.

I go and sit down on a sunlounger. And then take off my heels. They are already hurting. I rub the part where it aches. Someone puts tissue in front of my face. I am bending so I don't know who it is. "Here," ugh, it's Blake. "You are crying," he points out. I didn't even realize that I'm crying or maybe I just didn't want to pay attention to that part. I don't take the tissue nor do I say anything to him. I wipe the tears with the back of my mind.

"Does it hurt that much?" he asks. Someone tell this fool that I'm crying because of him and not because of my heels. I ignore him again. I have nothing to say to him. I grab my heels, get up and walk past him. He's following me. That's why I catch one of my cousins and start conversing with him. This way, I won't have to deal with him.

"So, Samaira, do you have a boyfriend?" my cousin questions and I immediately regret talking to him. "No," I answer. I hear Blake chuckle behind me. "What's so funny, Blake?" my cousin asks him. "Nothing. But if you don't mind, I need to talk to Samaira," Blake says. No, no, no. Please say that you do mind. "Sure, I don't mind,' he says and walks off. Great! I knew my cousins were hopeless.
