We awoke in the morning and to my surprise, Lillian's bed was empty and the bed had been made. Regulus must have left early to avoid a sober, yet still annoying, Ambrosia.
It was now Saturday and our first weekend since we came back to school. Most of the older years would spend their days shopping in Hogsmeade or studying but I had different plans.
Over the summer I had been sending owls with a certain Bartemius (Barty) Crouch Jr. He was in the year above and he was impossibly handsome. He was the only guy I liked that my father would approve of which made it all the more sensible to get to know him.
He was about six foot two, had gorgeous light brown eyes and fluffy brunette hair, he smoked hand-rolled cigarettes which made him even more attractive. He received the mark when he turned sixteen without his fathers knowledge, that was the only turn-off for me. He believed so strongly in my father despite him only being a half-blood himself, I think that's why he looks up to my father so much because they're very similar.
We had arranged to spend the evening just on the outskirts of the forbidden forest. It was a gorgeous sight this time of year, the slender trees gleamed in the hot sun. It might've been creepy to some students but I thought the unknown was quite beautiful.
It was six o'clock and I was changing into a large beige jumper over a white button up shirt with a short black plaid skirt underneath paired with some sheer tights and chunky black platforms. It was a hot summers night but I didn't want to get cold from the breeze.
I could hear Pandora behind me chatting to Lillian and Ambrosia about her picture-perfect date with Xenophilius. He had taken her to a cute little cafe in Hogsmeade and was a proper gentleman which was good. I didn't want to be expelled so soon for using unforgivable curses on men who treat my best friend like shit.
"Who are you getting dressed up for anyways? Is it Regulus, I haven't forgotten about that kiss he gave you last night" Amber scoffed, crossing her arms and the other girls eyes widened.
"Give it a rest, jealous Janet" I rolled my eyes at her. "He kissed me on the forehead and you're forgetting we were all high as fuck on euphoria elixirs you dumb shit!" I snapped at her.
Pandora and Lillian made a poor attempt at hiding their snickers and that earned Lil a slap to the arm.
"If you must know, I'm going out with Barty" I smirked whilst fixing the large diamond earring on my left lobe.
"Shut up! THE Barty Crouch Jr?" Pandora had leant forward on her bed, eyes wide and wide grin on her face and I replied with a nod.
"He is the hottest guy in seventh year, how in the hell did you bag him?" Amber's mouth was left agape, probably trying to catch flys the lizard tongued freak.
"No doubt my father had something to do with it but we started sending owls over the holidays after we met in the first week of summer at one of my fathers... gatherings." I replied, trying not to give too much away.
My father had an alias, Lord Voldemort... I know, beyond stupid. Originally it was to keep his real identity secret but word got out and people started to find out who was behind the rising of pure-blood supremacy. It was mainly elder wizards who knew it was him so no one at school, other than professors, really knew that it was my father.
We moved between family's in the summer and winter holidays using the excuse to the younger witch's and wizards in the family's that my father wanted to keep relationships strong between his family and other pure-blood family's.
The ministry insisted keeping his real identity secret, Merlin knows why, surely they would catch him quickly if they had wanted posters strung up around every village with his face planted on them. I had a theory he had already infiltrated the ministry somehow to make sure that wouldn't happen. I hated my father but even I had to admit he was undeniably crafty and always got what he wanted.
